My fault completely. It was on sale, I got it, I instantly regretted it. This is some of the worst disney park, goofy, tumblr style fanfic I've ever read
This was my second billionaire romance and I found it much better than the first.
I liked both MCs, flaws and all.
There is mention of depression, attempted suicide and emotional abuse, so beware of that if those are triggers. They are present throughout the story, but they aren't overly detailed.
I like that we have a will and to earn the inheritance, each of the 3 brothers needs to complete a task. I think it's a great way to be able to have a multi book family series and be invested in it.
The spunk and chutzpah of the FMC was great. And how she chose to view the world a certain way was nice to read, instead of her being extra closed off and cold.
A good level of banter and spice for me as well.
Not for me! Romance happened wayyy too quickly, rowan was a total asshole the entire book and I wasn't obsessed with the ending. I probably won't be reading any of the other ones
This book was a let down. And I wasn't even looking for anything that would blow my mind, just a light read.
At first, I really liked Rowan and Zahra's personalities. They were really stereotypical (grumpy and sunshine) but it really seemed like there would be a bit more to them than just that. Soon enough their personalities fall flat and the characters and everything they do feels really repetitive.
The tension was great!! But when the spice finally arrived... they felt awkward, generic and not written with the characters in mind.

I joined a readlong on StoryGraph that was created by ashybear02. This is another one that I saw making the rounds and I was really interested in reading it so it was perfect timing. Destiny and I buddy read this one unfortunately she didn't like it however I loved it. Rowan our MMC is a hard pill to swallow. He's so rude to everyone and he can really piss you off at times. Zahra on the other hand is a ray of sunshine and she brought the humor. Each character grows some throughout the book with the biggest changes coming from Rowan. He's not perfect by no means but he does come to see the error of his ways. I guess because I knew that he was eventually going to have this big revelation by the end his horrid behavior didn't bother me as much. I definitely want to continue on with this series.
“Because life isn't always rainbows and sunshine.
Of course not. But how can we appreciate the sun every morning if we don't live through the dark?”
I think i'm on the middle ground side of these ratings, just a very average read.
Their relationship isn't lasting past that epilogue, it felt soooo basic
I struggled to finish this, I just wasn't invested.
It started out interesting and then I feel like it just dragged and at one point I was thinking of dnfing but I was already 70% in
I think I didn't rate this lower cause surprisingly I can relate to Rowan (as a person, not as someone's boss because he was trying waaayy too hard to be the worst)
perhaps like 3.75 if i wanna get specific with this
OKAY so Brady's tasks are fucking WILD especially Declan's (I think it's Declan's right, I forgot) but I love that rowan's is bringing back his creativity after it was demolished by his father (asshole).
But Rowan was, as a character, pretty mediocre in my mind but the shit he did and how thoughtful he was kinda UHHH yeah made me actually enjoy his character way more than I feel like I should've. But like king, I don't care if ur rich asf but like u should SURELY not be acting like ur living on another planet compared to the average person. SURELY RIGHT??? or do I have way too high of hope for rich people. anyway
ZAHRA ZAHRA ZAHRA oh my god
you fucking angel of a being I legit could kiss you MYSELF
shes gotta be the most sunshine-y fmc that I have ever witnessed and I am unironically here for it. ALSO her story made me feel like I was reading about myself for like a weird second. Her as a whole I feel like makes me wanna scream into a valley on how cute she is. I get how Rowan could fall for her bc lowkey I might've aswell bc holy shit. We love a hard working, knows her worth and a loving ass gurl bro. Slay.
Not gonna lie the book dragged a bit during some parts, the angsty part when they were not doing the happy happy nice relationship parts made me kind of bored. This could've just been that I was eating their interactions the fuck up, but who knows. This all makes me think that the book could've had parts cut out, making it shorter because it felt like some parts were random and unneeded but I still enjoyed them despite that.
I do NOT care for the Disney adult fantasy stuff within this book. But that might be just me seeing as I've never even BEEN to Disney World. My opinion could change after going for the first time so we will have to wait and see on that part.
Other than that, it was pretty cute (I say that when the smut was fire asf), enjoyable romance and, as I predicted, was a bit better than the other Lauren Asher book that I read last year (Throttled). So, I am definitely going to be attempting her other books hehe.
E-BOOK & AUDIOBOOK
Great book, some spicey scenes, but mostly wholesome and cute.
I really liked this book. The perfect grumpy and sunshine characters with workplace romance, and from casual dating to ‘you-are-it-for-me.'
Rowan is a billionaire and director of Dreamland, Zahra is an employee. They have a sparkling chemistry between them and you know what's going to happen next. I loved how inclusive this was with her disabled sister and their ideas to make the park more inclusive to everyone. Beautiful love, great story. I'm excited to read other books in the series on the other brothers!
I always include major spoilers (hidden), to help with my memory issues. Read them at your peril!
Relentlessly chirpy, poor young women works for Dreamland, an American theme park. One day she submits a drunken proposal and unexpectedly gets the job. The boss is a cold-hearted handsome swine, which turns out to be because his dad, devastated after his mum died, was bitter and cruel for the second half of his childhood . Major crisis when after playing in the snow, she almost dies, and he can't handle it Lots of vanilla sex. Story is quite enjoyable, but not memorable.
Not sure why our MC even tolerated the douchebag love interest but damn the storyline held my ADHD brain in a chokehold.
Praise be epilogues! I love them, especially extended ones written from the MCM's perspective. I really liked both main characters. I thought they were smart, witty, funny, cute, sweet. All the things. I wish I was able to read a little bit more about the ending and what happens between the end and the epilogue, but overall it was a cute book. I can't wait to read Declan and Cal's stories. I've seen mixed reviews on this book but I'm a sucker for a good love story. While I can see how some people were annoyed while reading it, I loved the banter and them being the way they were. Not my favorite book I've ever read, but I loved the story. Would recommend.

This book had really good characters, I enjoyed they thoughts and personalities. What I didn't like too much is that the personality sometimes didn't match to their actions.
I enjoyed a lot the first part of the book, after 60% it was a little messy and unecessary.
4,5/5⭐️
Had biet verwacht dat ik hem zo leuk zou vinden. Echt een heel leuk en goed verhaal. De romance is ook erg leuk en spicy
I never expected to like this book as much. I did not get trough Throttled because I just couldn't with the way the story was written. But this book, oh my.
I literally laughed out loud a few times because Zahra just had the best comebacks. I absolutely adored the Dreamland aspect of the book. The character where absolutely great and I can't wait to read about the other brothers in this series.
4.5!! obsessed with zahra and her melting rowan's cold heart. so cute i loved it
It's a bit boring. Not much plot. Not much groveling after all is said and done which is always a disappointment. It's an easy read which can be nice from time to time. I did enjoy how the FMC was good at banter.
This book took me a little while to get through I started it maybe a little over a week ago, but I think that was more just life getting in the way than the actual book because I did enjoy it. I do feel like it was a little more lengthy than the romances I've read previously, but overall it was still a really good read. Fans of Disney World will enjoy this setting as it is extremely similar. The story follows Rowan Kane, one of the owners of Dreamland who is given a task by his late grandfather. In order to help him with this task, he asks employees to submit ideas on ways to improve the park. Enter Zahra: an employee who works at the salon with big ideas and an even bigger heart. After working out some kinks and revealing his true identity, the two begin seeing each other. The burn is slow in my opinion but the tension is definitely there, and once the fire sparks it is hot! This book made me so emotional toward the end, and it just really tugged on my heart strings. I enjoyed the grumpy/sunshine trope in this book and how it was written. I loved how she wrote Zahra chipping away at Rowan's tough exterior. The pacing felt a little slow for me which is why I took off 1 star. This is an adult romance, 18+ for sexual content
FINALLY OH MY GODDDD, I hated how Rowan had to fuck an employee too know that he was treating them like slaves?
Romance on full throttle right here with grumpy x sunshine trope. It's so unabashedly romance, you just know what to expect. Predictable, but with few susprises. I like that the author included characters with disabilities in the story. I like how the author addressed mental health issues in book.
Don't have anything to say about the main characters. They're okay. Not too boring, nothing exciting. Just your typical grumpy, brooding hero with bright ray of sunshine heroine.
It was okay.
Yikes lol.
I went into this book hoping to continue my reading marathon I had going on. That didn't work it. Instead I was put into a reading slump and haven't read any book (besides Spy X Family, but that doesn't count imo) since November of 2022. The quirkiness of the Zahra gives me 2010s millennial vibes and that is so painful to me. The way she talks and thinks makes me think of Buzzfeed (specifically the painting with my period blood because i'm so cool feminist lulz kind of buzzfeed). Rowan is there. Yeah.
Maybe I'll try reading it again, but for know it will be put in the dungeon (aka any box in my closet that has room).
