Twisted Love

Ok I finished this book in one day. It wasn't amazing but it wasn't horrible. The writing was good, I liked some of the characters, but I cannot for the life of me ever picture Alex and Ava actually having a HEA...because WTF? While some of the scenes were sweet and the spicy scenes were pretty hot, I just could not root for Alex. The guy is a complete a**hole and the touch her and die is kinda hot but he's way too possessive and controlling and he's a freaking STALKER. Ava is clearly trauma bonded. With that being said, I will absolutely keep reading the rest of the series lol

Meh, I didn't love it. It was fine. It had cute moments, but not worth the time.

Nah, cause what happened in this book and why didn't I completely hate it. The bar only gets lower for me, I am scared to say.

Twisted Love was a great palette cleanser for me because I have been reading a lot of Thrillers lately so it felt like a breath of fresh air to dive into the world of Ana Huang.

I don't care what anyone says but sometimes you need to pick up a book, especially a Romance that reads like fan-fiction. It's such a great escape from reality and that's what reading is for right?

I do wish that there was more detail in some of the parts of the book where it was brushed over and mentioned what happened rather than it occurring in the book and us reading it for ourselves as readers.

However, I had great fun reading this and I think that's what matters the most.

I can't wait to get started on the rest of the series.

WHY DID IT TAKE ME SO LONG TO READ THIS SERIES

Well... it's happened again a Booktok sensation has disappointed me. 

I don't normally get my recommendations from TikTok since I truly believe books are over sensationalized over there, and I don't have time to be disappointed so frequently 🤣🤣

But this one got me. I saw all the blurbs, and gave it a chance. 

LET IT BE KNOWN... this book is not horrible. It's just that I didn't like it 🧍🏾‍♀️. I didn't like Alex or Ava and I found majority of their actions excruciatingly cringe. I sped read through majority of because the vibes weren't DNF but we were getting there.

I was going for a 3, maybe a 3.5 ⭐✨ and the ending ruined Alex for me, and I just wanted to through this book away.
You can't create a grumpy, soul destroying man and make him into a clingy boyfriend.

Esta entretenido pero menos Ava, Josh y Bridget todos me caen mal. La trama se pone demasiado extraña y hay veces que hasta te da la impresión de estar leyendo ciencia ficción envéz de contemporáneo. Alex<<<<<<

Apart from the cringiest dialogues ever, this book is not so bad. It's an entertaining read and I liked all the plot twists so overall a good experience. I had to force myself to keep reading once or twice but maybe that was my own mood and not the actual book

What in the Vermont Pumpkin Pie did I just read?

I love this book, I bet I'll love the other ones aswell. Even though Alex is really possessive, it's a very fun read. I loved the plots and everthing on it was amazing.

I do this thing where I read the first and last chapter of every book before I read the book and I can mostly predict how it goes. These are usually predictable... Oh but the twists in this one got me good! A win for the ‘Horny Damaged Man' genre. Skipped all the raunchy stuff though. That always bores me. So this is not a real review of the entire book I guess.

¿Lo he disfrutado y me ha enganchado muchísimo? Sin duda.
Obviamente este libro tiene sus pegas y puedo llegar a entender porque a la gente no le puede gustar. Pero a mí me ha encantado. Lo he disfrutado muchísimo y ha superado mis expectativas, y sinceramente creo que eso es lo que importa.

I enjoyed Ava's character well enough. Alex was all over the map. I guess I could see where her sexual tension came from but not his. I REALLY struggled with this character. He shows zero emotion but then all of a sudden is gaga over her and is super touchy and loving!?! The singing part? Second hand embarrassment 😬 and here he is trying to win her back but starts threatening a guy talking to her. Get help. The writing was fine but the characters are off the charts.

I love the relationship that Ava had with her brother. I did not like her best friend Jules too much at first. By the end of the book I was okay with Jules. Alex was a little bit awkward but I did like him at the end.

Ik vond het heel fijn dat dit boek niet alleen maar draaide om Ava en Alex. Er was ook gewoon plot om hun liefde heen en dat vond ik echt heel goed!

Dit boek begon zooooo leuk!! Het was echt heel schattig en ik hoopte dat ze samen zouden komen. Nou op een gegeven moment was er een punt dat het niet meer zo boeiend was. Maar daarna werd het wel weer beter!.

I was loving this book up until the third act break up and after that was... eh. The grand gesture was so out of place. But, I still plan on reading on!
