Low-key? Finished this book with satisfaction :D Loved it a lot and thought the set-up for the next book is great. Good start to RF Kuang's books

I am honestly really bummed that I was busy this December and could not swiftly finish this book. But it did finish me :D. Slowly, since I started reading it. This might be one of those books that I wish I could read in a physical copy and annotate. I am not a person who re-reads and especially not the type of person to annotate. But if anyone reading this, is, you'll have a blast reading this novel.

I genuinely never felt such complex feelings about any characters like this group lmao. I hated and loved every one of them and because of that, I don't know how I feel about the ending. I need it to sit in my head for awhile.

Now about comparisons with If we were villains. So similar yet so different. And now that I read both, I don't know which I liked more. Maybe in a few days could answer the question, but for now, all I can say is I thoroughly enjoyed both of them :)

Finished! Ok I agree that it's the best book out of the 3. My rating is 3.75 out of 5. This was the most dynamic book and I enjoyed the plot and the romance.   But the pacing of the book felt a bit weird and lowkey rushed at the end. I rly enjoyed Aaron's and J's romance :) I finally get the hype. I lowkey thought that at the end Aaron is injured again or dying but no bro is chilling. I liked that Juliette was finally thinking more rationally and less ‘crazy' like in the earlier books. The dramatic metaphors and similes finally got to me tho. 3 books in and I started rly noticing and getting annoyed at it. Adam is a dick also- genuinely a messed up person too, guess the genes do pass:uhhh: . Tho I did enjoy the plot enough to want to continue the series cause I just wanna see what the author could brew up. Ending rly sucked tho, we didn't even get to see what went on with the rest of the characters. Like it felt Juliette rly didn't need anyone except herself to beat Anderson. Also the blonde guy????? He appeared and died within the same chapter like what
