Yet another self-help book that could easily be condensed into a blog post. In short, turn off your devices an hour before bed, make sure you exercise, eat well and don't eat to close to your bedtime, and avoid using your bedroom for anything other than sleep.
The rest is all fluff.
There are some brilliant ideas in this book, but unfortunately they are scrambled together with some utter nonsensical pseudo-science and product promotion. (Earthing for example).
Take each strategy (maybe except the blue-light regime, that's scientifically proven) and verify it.
There is also some sound advice about things like coffee and importance of sleep.
I watched Shawn's talk @ Google (check youtube if you are interested) and really liked what I saw,
but the book dissapointed.
I bought it on amazon for 3,68$ but still returned it
I learned some interesting sleep tips that I have already begun incorporating into my life, but many of the suggestions seemed either impractical (“earthing sheets”? Seriously?) or minute. Considering most of my sleep issues are anxiety-driven this also isn't a huge help to me, but interesting and quick to read no less.
