“WE GET ATLAS POV CHAPTERS!!!”
“have you thought about how much you're going to cry when we see his perspective on everything that happened to Lily in [b:It Ends with Us|27362503|It Ends with Us|Colleen Hoover|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1470427482l/27362503.SY75.jpg|43940889] ????”

“yeah that's what i thought.”
Great follow up to It Ends With Us. Great, easy read... perfect for a little break bewteeen psych thrillers.
dnf 12% but that was enough to know I wouldn't like it. I stopped when Atlas said Lily's daughter was the best thing to ever happen to her. Just too sickly sweet for me.
This book was really sweet. I loved how it showed that Ryle did interfere a bit in Atlas and Lily relationship, it showed realism. And this book also showed the type of guy that's every girl's dream especially a girl that suffers a broken marriage with a child.
I loved Atlas and Lily’s love! What a beautiful love story, despite the setbacks and challenges they had to overcome. I loved Marshall’s kindness. I loved Alyssa’s loyalty to Lily. All in all a well written series.
Am definitely not a fan of how it was written. Rated it 0.5 because it got me out of my reading slump!
maybe 3.75?? i can't in good conscience give it 4, but i definitely liked it better than the first. very wholesome <3
Let me start by saying my expectations for this was absolute shit after what I've heard about this so this has just been sitting on my shelf for years, but I finally picked it up.
I was pleasantly surprised, this did not feel solely like a cash grab, atleast in my opinion. She definitely did put effort.
Lily's character didn't grow all that much here, not that she needed to. But we get to see Atlas's pov, and I loved watching his character develop throughout. I love how they go on their seperate journeys without each other. That way when they did come together they were strong, and independent individuals. Not just ‘2 broken people fixing each other' trope that I was expecting.
What I didn't like is how black and white it was, Ryle vs Atlas. Ryle bad, Atlas good. The reason why I loved It Ends With Us is because of how wonderfully well depicted Ryle was as an antihero, we see all sides of him whereas in this one he was completely villainised. Don't get me wrong, he is an absolute piece of shit, but he was so complicated in the previous book, I felt like he was really simplified here.
Meanwhile on the other end Atlas is so incredibly perfect, flawless in every way imaginable, and it was clear that the author was trying to point out that contrast.
Despite that, I actually really enjoyed this one. I think she said all she had to say, all the right things that had to be said.
wow. i mean wow. this book was just an uphill dream. the conflict was perfectly placed and narrated. the love was CHEF'S KISS. the emotional maturity and perfect description of toxic/narcissistic/abusive relationships was unlike anything i've read. this deserves all the stars.
The first half of this was a little slow and in my opinion too many pages from the previous books journals. The second half of the book was amazing and I couldn't put it down. I yearned for it to be longer and not as rushed. Thank you Colleen for giving us their much needed happy ending!
Another great story by another great author. I always like an author that gets my attention from the beginning and ends smoothly. This story is very powerful and not for the timid. If you read her other book “It Ends with Us”, then you know the topics she addresses are tough ones, but managed expertly. In this story, the topic of abortion and adoption are addressed and the author manages to cover all sides and gives all the debates for those sides. Excellent!
Again, it was fine, good to get closure. Too many sex scenes though. Don't imagine I'll read anything else she does.
Did we need this? Nope.
Did I enjoy this solely for Atlas being an absolute gem? Yes I did.
I was so excited to read about Atlas & Lily, the first book threw me in for a loop, emotions all over the place and then this one just didn't feel the same and annoyed me. I would've preferred a lot more detail on this one but the lack of details wasn't what annoyed me, it was more so Lily wasting time worrying about the feelings of a man that abused her. I needed less worrying about Ryle and more detail with dates, more about their life together after moving in together, more of Atlas with Emerson, more about the wedding, just more. This book has so much potential and for me it just felt rushed.
I found it hard to get into since it felt so anticlimactic . I was a lot more interested in Atlas' side than Lily's to the point where a solid half of the book was boring.
Devoured this in a day.
Much lighter than It Ends with Us, and a fitting finale for Lily and Atlas.
(PS. Atlas is the most gorgeous cinnamon roll hero I've ever read!)
Sis, you make it hard. I try to read books in other genres and by other authors. But this lady here makes it hard for me to do so lol. I love this book the ending is exactly what I expected and my desired outcome. I never want this story to end at all. This is a must-read it ties up loose ends from the previous book.
the most useless book ever, i speed read through this so i could just get it over with. talk abt a money grab!!! no interesting plot whatsoever, sorry not sorry
I thought this book was so good and was full of so much heart-felt love BUT then I got to the last three chapters and ended up being slightly disappointed. The ending felt rushed - they went from dating for two months, to 6 months and moving in together, to 3 years and getting married all within the last three chapters. It's the ending Lily and Atlas deserve but I feel like so much time was spent on the build up. Still a good read though.
