Perhaps it is never quite completely aging out of being that 14 year old girl haunting the local Hot Topic to the tune of Jack Off Jill, but this is one of my comfort reads. Steve Albini died today, which is acutely devastating given how profoundly Big Black informed my own music, and I couldn't focus on studying, so I took a long walk and found this in the local comic store. I've read it numerous times but never owned it, so I nabbed it, went next door to the coffee shop, and sat down with Fangs and a Latté. I'm feeling a fair bit better for having done so.
I don't think there was a page that I didn't utterly love. Every single page was amazing and I loved them all. I could have read about a thousand more pages, even! Jimmy and Elise were funny and I really liked seeing them get into a relationship with each other.
I liked that there were no stakes and that it was a relaxing read. When you're like me and read a a majority of medium/high stakes books, it's always nice to breathe and read an easier book (easier here meaning a low-stakes fantasy book).
short and cute.. but too little depth though and overall kinda pointless and nothing memorable. I enjoyed reading though
A cute little book with lovely b&w illustrations. I was hoping for a bit more cohesive story/bonus content rather than just a collection of one-shot, slice of life comics, but it was still fun. Also, Jimmy is a babe. 3 cute monsters out of 5.
Light, simple enjoyment. Really liked the one where they're reading different vampire books.
Made me think of some high school friends.

Super adorable! I loved seeing the relationship between Jimmy and Elsie grow. My first graphic novel and I loved it. Definitely will be a quite and cute future reread

This short, cute, wholesome, scary and funny book is pure perfection. I fell in love with Elsie and Jimmy. I finished it so quickly that I want to read it again and again.

Short comics about a vampire and werewolf romance! The art is darling and the dynamics about two monsters in love is to ...die for! This is one you can really...sink your teeth into! jk, i'm done...it is a quick read and really a fun time.

This collection of mini comics depicting the relationship between a vampire and a werewolf was so cute, sweet, and funny. I flew through this and enjoyed every bit of it. I'd love to see more of Elsie and Jimmy!
This is a short comic book about a vampire who finally meets and falls in love with her perfect match, who happens to be a werewolf. This book chronicles their everyday life together whether it's just watching tv or eating a meal.
