—Oh, bueno. De verdad me lo has narrado.
—Lo siento, es que... —Trató de calmar la oleada de emoción—. Creo que estamos en un desierto.
—¿Hay cactus y plantas rodadoras?
—No.

—No.
—No puedo olerla.

《I think you might be right, though. Maybe there isn't such a thing as fate. Maybe it's just the opportunities we're given, and what we do with them. I'm beginning to think that maybe great, epic romances don't just happen. We have to make them ourselves.》
This book. THIS BOOK OMG!!
I wish I could write anything that would make sense but I feel like it's impossible. Luckily I'm stubborn so I'll try anyway lol I hope talking about the characters will help me out :P
• I feel so bad for Cinder because she blames herself way too much :( I hope she will be more positive and finally happy in Winter because she totally deserves it <3
• Cress is PURE LOVE. She's so cute, so squishy, so.. PURE. If she was real, I'd hug her and cuddle her the whole time <333
• Thorne is.. Thorne. ‘Nuff said. I think he wants to act like a bad boy but I can see how good he is <333333 + I ship him so hard with Cress, LIKE MY HEART NEEDS THEM TOGETHER RN (but I think it's just common sense lol).
• And Ikooooo <333 I was SO HAPPY when Thorne got that escort-droid because I TOTALLY KNEW THEY WOULD HAVE USED ITS BODY FOR IKO!! It feels like she can totally be herself thanks to that and it fills me with joy <3 Anyway, is it possible for her to have a bf? I WANT HER TO HAVE ONE NOW. Maybe the android that looked like Kai lol
• Poor Kai, I felt so stressed during the whole book when it came to him :( I wanted to hug him every time é.è I fangirled way too much when he finally kissed Cinder tho IT WAS ABOUT TIME <3 but of course Levana would have ruined that perfect moment, figures.
• The Doctor, poor baby. I don't know what you think, but I always felt bad for him :( I wouldn't have blamed him for anything he did, honestly. AND WHEN HE SAID TO CRESS HE WAS HER FATHER OMG My heart was dying too in that moment, like WHY DID IT HAVE TO GO THAT WAY?! *cough* Ok, sorry.
• Anyway, here comes the unpopular opinion: I didn't like Scarlet and Wolf in this book. AT ALL. I would have liked to punch her in the face and Wolf was just.. too much. I don't even know how to explain it, but there was something about both of them that was way too irritating.
I hope they will take a grip on themselves because they almost ruined my majestic experience with this book smh
• And about Sybil Mira YOU TOTALLY DESERVED IT, BITCH!! Burn in hell and don't ever come back, sayonara.Like, the only good thing she ever did was throwing herself down the tower. I would have gladly helped pushing her tho I'm too kind, I know <3
Carswell's Guide to Being Lucky and The Princess and the Guard are waiting for me and I HONESTLY CAN'T WAIT to get to Fairest, I bet it will be amazing too ____
The reader is not coddled in this book. There is so much action and so much emotion. We are left right at the doorstep of open warfare. I can't wait to get my hands on the next one.
Ughhhh. WHY AM I STILL READING THIS SERIES? I just have to know what happens. But the characters are all whiny and insufferable, not to mention completely idiotic. WHY, OH WHY?

I am so happy I gave in and started this series despite the plot of the first book being a bit too SciFi for me. Great series seem to allow people like me to cross genre without second thoughts.
This was such a surprise!!! The first 2 books were slightly meh for me, I did not care for Cinder, and Scarlet was okay until that cheeseball ending. But this book, was so much fun! There was so much happening I couldn't get through the pages fast enough, and yet, I should have tried to read slower. I really liked the relationship between Cress and Thorne, it wasn't out of place or forced. And I was happy to finally see some of what happens ON Luna! The next book has a lot of expectations to live up to, and a lot of story to fill..... I hope it keeps getting better.
Oh yes! Cress has won this series back for me! I was getting a bit worried after Scarlet - whilst I did enjoy it, it was disappointing after Cinder. Cress is just brilliant - I loved the character development and introduction of Winter. I'll be reading Fairest before I finish with Winter. Looking forward to both!
Cress has been a prisoner on a satellite in space for what seems like forever. After risking her life to help Cinder, she anxiously awaits a rescue. The rescue does not go as planned. Sybil knows and is ready. With no choice but to leave some behind, Cinder must prepare to fight and stop Kai from marrying Levana. I LOVE this series! Rebecca Soler is such a great narrator.
Read this while on vacation. Perfect light read while traveling. The stakes are definitely getting higher for cinder and her gang. And we are getting close to the final show down with queen levana. So far, my favorite in the series was scarlet (book 2), but i can't wait to start winter when i get back home–this lunar princess seems like a very interesting character...
This book was the best so far, I love this series so much I can't even. That's as coherent a review I can write without starting to flail and scream.
To me, Cinder and Scarlet where solid four star books. I enjoyed them, I wanted to read more, but there was just something missing from them that prevented me from giving them that extra star. I don't know what it was about Cress, but that one thing I was longing for was there. This book truly exceeded my expectations.
Listened to this one in the car - and really enjoyed it. Am happily jumping right into Winter next!
I liked it but it took me more than the necessary amount of time to actually finish it. It hook me up right at the very end, so much going around and around. But finally Winter has made an appearance and I like Thorne a lot lot than I do Kai.
enfim, ganhou meu troféu surpresa do ano.
Dito isso, parti Winter
So....didn't like this one as much. The story progressed well, but the new relationship (Cress and edit) felt silly and forced. I understand following the fairy tale, but honestly that part felt like a written version of the Tangled movie. That said - Cinder and Kai - awwww. I'm really interested to see how the last book will tie up all the trailing threads of the different stories. Hoping it is all it promises it could be!
I'm flying through these books and I have to say, this one has been my favorite so far. I really love this cast of characters and all the connections between them. Cress has definitely moved up there though in terms of favorite characters in this series. I also really love all the interactions between Cress and Thorne and how their relationship developed.
I also really love how Winter was introduced in this installment before we focus on her in the final book. I need to finish a few other books, but then I will definitely be getting to Winter so I can finish this series and see how it all ends.

I have to be fair. That's why, after rating this a four star and thinking about it for another half hour, I had to move the rating up to five. I had no problems with this book. Except, maybe it could have been longer... Yeah, just ignore that up there. Honestly, when I think how close I came after reading Cinder to not even continuing this series... I would have missed out on so much fun. (Pity all books and series don't improve for me the way this one did.)
My biggest pet peeve from the last two books was finally addressed and, while I don't love that take on humanity, it is completely believable. Humans really can be cruel and unkind at times.
Anyway, I love how the girls in this series are pretty darn capable all on their own. (And my cold has made my mind fuzzy enough that I cannot even spell ‘capable' without googling it. So, to wrap things up before my brain quits working.) And can you say ‘ethnic diversity'? Is it a sad sign of the whitewashed state of most popular (and most everything else, too) sci-fi (and fantasy) genres (and the YA demographic) when the fact that there is ethnic diversity in a book actually gets me excited?
I'm really liking all the characters - even Cinder, who I really didn't care for in the first book. This is the true introduction of Cress and, I gotta say, I'm not disappointed. I was really worried that, after what she had been through, she would be normal and well-adjusted. She wasn't. Thank you, Thorne, for demonstrating that quite aptly when you first met the poor girl.
While romance is not usually something I look for in my sci-fi books, I love the character interactions. And the romances, too. Especially Wolf and Scarlet. (Love these two together so much.) I also think I'm going to really, really like Thorne and Cress. They're certainly interesting together. Kai and Cinder however... Yeah, I'm still not really feeling the sparks. I like them apart quite a lot, but together... Meh. I am so looking forward to Winter though, she sounds like her own special brand of crazy. And her love interest Jacin. Am I weird for thinking he sounded hot when he showed up in the first book?
Alright, I would love to write a proper review and, once I can quit being distracted every five keys by various cold symptoms, I might. (However, this is a very long ramble that could totally pass for a review.) I'm so not going to remember what happened in this books two weeks from now. (Hehe. So I'll get to re-read it.)
My favourite of the series for now, by far. Dear god I LOVED this book, I read it in a row. Cress and Thorne and Kai and Cinder, I mean... THE FEELS. Aaaah.
I really want to see how the story turns out, but this was my least favorite of the entire series.
Reading Cress feels like having a great adventure. There's so much going on in this book. By the time I reached the end, I felt like the plot has moved far, far away from where it was at the start of the book. It's a really engaging read, and the characters have grown so much since the beginning of the series.Cress and Thorne are probably my favorite couple so far. I loved Thorne in [b:Scarlet 13206760 Scarlet (The Lunar Chronicles, #2) Marissa Meyer https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1342485529s/13206760.jpg 18390691], and even more so after the epic journey he shared with Cress through the desert. As for Cress herself, I didn't expect to like her because naïve characters tend to annoy me if not nicely handled... but in the end, I liked Cress just fine. She's cute, and her romantic fantasies are adorable. Also, we get to see Princess Winter in this book. Along with her childhood friend and love interest Jacin, who temporarily joined Cinder on the Rampion. While we don't get to learn that much about them, I loved what we've seen from them so far. Jacin is so rude and sarcastic it's hilarious at times, while Winter is... interesting.Cinder and Kai finally have more time together towards the end of the book. At first my opinion of Kai hasn't really improved since he was being awfully doubtful and judgmental towards Cinder, but he does get better so I find myself liking him a bit more. Or maybe I'm just happy that my wish for Cinder to kidnap Kai finally came true. While I still have [b:Fairest 22489107 Fairest (The Lunar Chronicles, #3.5) Marissa Meyer https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1402940130s/22489107.jpg 41928590] to read, I'm really looking forward to [b:Winter 13206900 Winter (The Lunar Chronicles, #4) Marissa Meyer https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1426654088s/13206900.jpg 18390887]. Can't wait to see how she's going to deal with Scarlet's feisty temper too. :'D
Overall continues a great use of fairy tales in a science fiction type setting. A few frustrating points where people (Cinder especially) act completely out of character just to solve a plot need. Still enjoying the series and looking forward to the next book.
