What??? How is this the second most translated text/book in the world? Nonsensical and pure gibberish. At least it was short:D
A bit of a slow and easy to predict start but when it gets going it really gets going. An enjoyable read and I would suggest this to anyone craving a good mystery/thriller.
My first Stephen King book. Overall quite enjoyable read. Liked his, I don't know how to properly describe, “normal” writing style.
Interesting concept but I felt the plot moved too slowly. Like, it hooked me in just enough that I was heavily invested into the story but felt like chore at times.
The worldbuilding continues to be super good. However, I didn't really enjoy the pirate side of the book. I guess I hoped THE heist to be more central and to me it was kinda unsatisfying. Also the writing felt at times that Lynch just tried to use obscure words whenever he could. This is my second book of his and the first in english so I don't know if its just this book or his style overall. The finnish translation of the first book in the series didn't feel like this. Still, enjoyable book and very excited for the last in the series.
I've come to really enjoy Blake Crouch's style of writing and pacing. It feels movie-like and has surpisingly grown on me. Also a plot involving some type time fuckery always works for me:D
Expected this to be some "light, exciting action with unexpected twists" and that was kinda what I got. Enjoyable and quick read. Did not like the ending for some reason.
Super enjoyable read! Really liked the way the past and present alternated. Both plots were interesting and it was hard to put the book down. A bit unsure how to feel about the Bondsmagi side of things, otherwise seemed a much better book than the previous book of the series. Hopefully the whole series sees the light of day. Hopefully in a reasonable time.
My reaction to these types of self-help/motivational books is always too negative and I often cringe at them. But. I enjoyed reading this and I'll be sure to incorporate these ideas into my everyday life (I did roll my eyes a few times). Solid-sounding advice and fun writing style that really worked for me.
Uninteresting and weak mystery carried by funny and likeable characters. (Max Highfield is an icon fr)
