The sequel follows up the original well, changing the central strategy of the protagonists and introducing new character dynamics.

Younger readers may find it a little too violent.
Rating: 3.5 ⭐A true 3.5 stars, but rounded up for Goodread's scale.Summary: Sequel to [b:I Am Number Four 7747374 I Am Number Four (Lorien Legacies, #1) Pittacus Lore https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1305807140l/7747374.SY75.jpg 10576999]. John Smith, Six, and Sam Good are on the run from the police and from the Mogadorians after the events at Paradise High School. They must do everything that they can to stay alive and find the other 4 from Lorian. In another part of the world, Marina is stuck in an orphanage with her guardian, who has given up on their mission and chosen to ignore everything to do with Lorian.Review: This book is pure plot and a page turner. It's decent with the overall story and adventure doing the heavy lifting and making up for the superficial characters and sometimes awkward dialogue. I love the idea of an alien race on the run while they gather strength and learn how to use their legacies.
I was glad, Sarah was not with them with this journey and is very happy with John and Six's blossoming affair (affair? hahaha), and what turns out to be Sam's purpose. I really like his nerdy character. With all the lovely things happening with them, including learning new things, training, and some squeezed fights with the Mogs, so enters Sarah. Ugh. I hate her, what a selfish blonde! How can she be worried about what's happening with her in school, be saddened about being bullied and being hated by other people? I actually want to scream and yell on her face when she was saying all that to John, c'mon, on the first book, I thought he understands?! That she gets why John can't stay and all that. Grrr ( although we're not sure if it was Sarah who turned them, I know. I know) I just hated how she was with John at the park. Why is John even in love with her still!?
*ehem. Sorry about that. I was carried away. I hate her.
On the lighter side of things, Marina is now with Ella and Crayton which is really nice, although I'm a bit saddened about Hector. All the this time I wanted a Cepan to live so that he/she can somehow explain everything inside those chests. So that they would all know how to use those gems and crystals. With that, I really enjoyed this book, it was definitely a page turner. :)
.. and yes. I'm not good in doing reviews.
I can't agree with everyone that it was action packed straight from the beginning but it did have a very nice action packed ending. You learn so much more about the Loriens in this book. It's amazing to me how much each of the Garde know about their history and how to use certain things...meaning not all of them are privy to everything but you think that they should. Number Four for me seems to be the least informed and has been with his Cepan(guardian) the longest, a Cepan that was willing to teach him. We meet some of the other Garde and get the point of view of Marina, Number 7 and John, Number 4. This was done really well except of course in those cases where there were gigantic climaxes and you had to wait two chapters later to find out what happened because they switched points of views... By the way, Marina has some of the best legacies EVER in my book. She is special indeed.
This was overall a great book and I can't wait for the next book. I think Pittacus (author)said he wanted to write a book for all of the Garde, as he should, but I think at this point with so much action going on and other Gardes being introduced that perhaps short story books should be made by them like Six's book so as to not take away from the war that seems to have already started against the Mogadorians. Six's book was short, sweet and to the point and gave the right amount of background on her.
So yeah... not sure when the next one will be out but I hope it is soon!
