A quick paced thriller of a book. McFadden does a great job of story building and feeding the reader crumbs of the mystery until BAM a twist and BOOM a turn. And suddenly everything knits together into a beautiful, twisted work of art.
Really enjoyed this. The first one was superior. The very last twist, unnecessary.
this book totally takes me back to the exciting world of Bollywood thrillers from the 2000s. The level of drama in this book is off the charts! It's like a wild rollercoaster ride, one intense moment after another, leaving me speechless and completely puzzled. I couldn't help but laugh out loud at some of the delightfully crazy scenes. Who doesn't enjoy a little bit of delightful craziness, right?

LET'S TALK ABOUT THE EPIDEMIC OF THIS HERE CRACK PIPE
read this in one day, it was very similar to the first book thats why its one star lower but still a crazy read as always. freida puts crack in those books.
I thought Brock was a pointless character. Clearly she didn't like him from the beginning. I was actually annoyed reading about her and her boyfriend. The ONLY reason I feel like he was needed in the book was because he was a lawyer except when all was said and done he bailed on her immediately.
I felt like I was missing something with Enzo so when I finished book I went online and I guess the first book was about Millie and Enzo so that would have been the back story.
Millie believed that Wendy was going to take care of everything? Like she didn't even wipe off the gun!?!? Wendy couldn't even care for herself but you trust her enough to clean up and erase a murder?????!!!!!
Book could have been condensed a wee bit. Strung out a little long.
I was actually surprised at the twists. Usually I can guess the ending but I actually didn't. Also, everyone got their just desserts at the end lol.
4.5* this writing style is so compelling and fast paced! Exactly what i needed to get me out of my slump
Beginning was good, but I felt the second half very predictable, and very far fetched. I can usually let farfetched things go in thrillers, but this got too much.
This book was just as good as the first! If I'm honest, Millie was really getting on my nerves in this book. But as we all know in the books of Freida, everyone be crazy. If you liked the first one, this is a must read!
I am on a book tour today for @freidamcfadden and @bookouture for the release of The housemaids Secret...
Millie has to get another job and pronto. She does not have the money to cover anything if she doesn't, so when Douglas Garrick calls her and calls her in for an interview, she cannot believe her luck.
She lands the housekeeper job and cleans an immaculate apartment for a woman she never sees... A woman Douglas claims is sick... Everything is perfect until the day Millie finds blood on the wife's nightgowns and Millie's protective instincts kick right back in.....
Oh I have missed MIllie. This sequel really lived up to the hype and I am so thankful I was part of this tour. First off I loved seeing where Millie had ended up and what she had been doing. She is fierce with a heart of gold and she is flawed in all the best ways that seeing her character develop was pure magic.
The plot was really very clever. I thought I knew what was going on and it turns out I was super wrong. This book had me whipped up harder than a tornado in the midwest. I had no idea where my feet were going to land and I loved every moment. I always enjoy a good roller coaster ride in my thrillers and Freida McFadden did not disappoint.
A page turning, heart thumping good read, you may want to have a glass of wine and shut your phone off for hours until you are done.
5 stars! Thank you @netgalley and #bookouture for my review copy! Out NOW!!
