Lusicrous, unbelievable, gory. A pity because he writes well. DNF

Surprisingly a very good read. Suspenseful, thrilling, and not to mention gory. You don't get closure, though.

All I could think of the entire time reading this book was of Brad Pitt yelling at Morgan Freeman “WHAT'S IN THE BOX!!!”. And that's it, that's my review!!!

The plot itself was interesting, but the formatting weighed it down. I usually love multiple POVs, short chapters, and diary entries — but it just led to a choppy, disjointed read. The last 100 pages did save this for me and make quite a convincing case to finish the series.

3.5 and rounding up.
Despite having figured out the big plot twist early
on, this was still a great read. So much so, I might even continue with the series.

I've been looking for a crime novel that reminds of films like Seven and Zodiac and I finally found one! This rockets along at a nice pace and alternating between past and present really worked. Looking forward to number 2 now.
