The Cardinal Sin

The relationships really seemed to slow down here and the focus was more on the plot... which was okay I guess. I mean, a lot happened, but it all felt over the top and dramatic for no reason. Also, the cliff hanger from the last book doesn't even last past the prologue in this one making it feel really anti-climatic.
Could Callie stop getting hurt for one second? How does she not have permanent brain damage and why do people keep bringing her on missions???
And I am so not a fan of the ending. I feel like something was missing and why isn't anyone else commenting how things aren't lining up? Aren't they supposed to be amazing agents?

While I say the romance slowed down, I should also mention that it felt more comfortable. There was a lot of pushing and newness in the last book, so while nothing really new comes out, I'd say it is great they are getting used to being comfortable with each other.

So, all in all not my favorite of the bunch. I hope the next book features at least one of the villains captured and more progress on relationships.
