The Husband List

This was not my thing. I thought that since this was part of the Culhane Family series it would take place after the first book, but it goes back into the past and becomes a period tale with very little to like.

I'm not the historical fiction type of reader so, I didn't go in with that lense to read through. I came in as a fan of Janet Evanovich and her love of quirky, outgoing, and usually sassy female characters.

This was great to listen to.
I didn't think I saw so much romance building enough but, it was still believable for a novel. I disliked the villain, I smiled for the main romance, fangirled led over the side romance, and cheered at every cheesy moment. This was an enjoyable listen and I'm sure in book form I would have liked it too.
For some reason I just wasn't as engaged like other books. Still really liked it though and would recommend it for fans of the authors. I even like Lorelai King's voice although after awhile a lot of characters showed up and some voiced were really similar. But, this didn't bother me enough to where I won't seek out her narrations again.
