It took the first 80 pages or so to get into the book but after that, it was super fast-paced. THE DRAMA THE PLOT TWISTS. My jaw dropped so many times. The ending was wild and had me almost falling off my bed trying to get to the next book. Top-tier book. Definitely one of my new favorites of the series.
I'm reading these faster than I keep up with the reviews. I still devoured this book, but I can see how folks think it should have ended as a trilogy. Not a fan of some of the new plot points and the more complicated backstory. But the characters do make up for it. They are all so unique and make the story so enjoyable.
this is easily my favorite book of the series. it did start so slow paced and like okay okay we get it move forward please but GOD the rollercoaster of emotions i screamed and laughed and teared up and and and that ending????
THIS BOOK WAS AMAZING BUT HORRIBLE BUT AMAZING BUT BROKE ME LIKE XJSKKSKDKDKSD PLS I LOVE IT SMMMM
Todo lo que se desvela en este libro es increíble, Y ESE FINAL AAAAA. NO ME LO ESPERABA.
I'm heartbroken I won't be able to read this serie for the first time ever and I have still 4 books (counting novelas) to read.
3.5
Good! Getting a little annoyed with Juliette but I understand why she is written that way, it is a book after all. This book leaves a lot of questions and has a cliffhanger ending so it makes me want to start the next book right away. Will I? Probably not..
rating - 4.5 / 5
I genuinely don't know what to say. what the absolute fuck just happened in this book???
When I found out that the first five shatter me books are usually considered separate from the last six (restore me series), I was kinda intrigued. Ignite me, (the last book of the five) does not end on a cliffhanger, and one can stop reading the series there, with a pretty satisfactory ending; In fact, quite a few people do. Not gonna lie, I did consider stopping at Ignite me?
“Ignite, my love. Ignite”
absolutely loved it.
resolved
stop reading for a bit so the characters can still be suspended in time with no problems in life?
“Did he ever tell you,” Anderson says “what he had to do to prove that he was worthy?”
Because holy crap. I was just staring into space for about an hour before i could write this review.
Tahereh Mafi takes the restore me series to a whole different level.
top tier
plot twists were insane
The end had me like ??????
the polaroid of aaron and ella. (I WILL SOB. I am genuinely not strong enough for this.)
tad bit slow
character development
unpack
banter
so much more rounded and polished compared to it's predecessors
ominous tones
Update: 2/2023: Who knew that it would take me 5 years to actually get to reading this next installment of the series. Maybe it was the word “betrayal” in the synopsis that had me fearing for my Warnette duo & Co, or maybe it was the subsequent swell of negative reviews. In either case, it ended up taking me awhile to get back to this. Honestly, I wasn't sure what to expect given the general negative consensus from the Goodreads community as well as my trusted reviewers on here who tend to be very in sync with me. It's true - the world-building is nowhere to be found, and there's not so much a plot as much as an in-depth analysis of each character's mental state post-Anderson. I gotta say - it's a soap opera in here. The angst, the revelations, the deep burning passions of our band of misfits - all in here, and I was surprisingly into it. It's like the first 3 books are this sprint through finding each other and taking over the country, and these start to get into so what then? The mental damage, emotional instability, and general realization that they're teenagers who don't know what's up felt very real. The series is certainly taking a wild turn at the conclusion of Restore Me (which should really be named Transport Me into an alternate reality), so let's see how wilder it gets in the next book.
THERE ARE LIKE 30 GOOD PLOT TWIST IN THIS BOOK WHAT THE HELL, HER NAME'S ACTUALLY ELLA, SHE HAS A SISTER, SHE AND AARON ALWAYS KNEW EACHOTHER AND SHES THE FUCKING DAUGHTER OF THE SUPREME COMMANDER???
loved this so much but the ending felt so rushed and needed to be better hence 4 stars!! anyway aaron warner

IF U R IN A READING SLUMP READ THIS SERIES
okay like i was fine for most the book, having fun living life and then the end omg...
i literally read over 200 pages in one day (im a slow reader) its just so page turning
Ik heb het gevoel dat in dit boek het verhaal pas echt begint. Tot nu toe vind ik dit hey beste boek!
Tahere Mafi heeft zo'n fijne schrijfstijl!
to be completely honest... authors need to stop adding books to series they said were completed.
This reminded me of allegiant, so different from the original plot and storyline, characters are not the same (not in a character development way, in a loss of personality way) and its just weird.
Juliette and Warner shouldn't be together. they have no chemistry and they both just suck
I have a love/hate relationship with this series. I hated the first book, hated half of the second book, loved half of the second book and LOVED the third book and now..... this book...
I don't like Warner still lol
