Quite enjoyable because of the interplay between the author's normal horror genre and the cuteness of the cats and the quotidianity of the actions depicted.
On June 1st, my cat passed away quite suddenly so the last few pages had me unexpectedly bawling my eyes out for a good while. The rest was funny and bizarre in a very Junji Ito way and I loved every bit of it. Cats are such wonderful little creatures.
Not what I expected? I thought this was going to be a horror story involving cats but its actually about the Junji Ito and his lovely wife living with their cats....and only told the way Junji Ito could tell it with a little bit of disturbing humor.
Illustrations were great with kind of an unusual slice of life.
Fun read!
