*Review written during the COVID-19 emergency. My emotions are all over the place, and my rational mind is on hiatus.Odd little book, like [b:Freaky Friday 104711 Freaky Friday Mary Rodgers https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1171523923l/104711.SY75.jpg 1229585], but the body switch is between two estranged teenage boys. It reads like a YA novel except the sex is described in more detail than I expect from that genre including a few weird scenes in which each boy masturbates in his "borrowed" body, which is a little creepy, although both boys confess to it so consent isn't a big issue. The boys manage to impersonate each other without too much trouble, despite the fact that Scott is a star soccer player and Olly has the lead in the school's production of Romeo & Juliet. And I would have thought they would have been more concerned about missing their real parents, especially Olly, who has a close relationship with his mom & dad. So the only real drama is how they are going to get their own bodies back, and whether they can recover their lost friendship (and maybe more...)Still it was cute and suitably romantic when they figured out how to reverse the spell, and there's several sweet chapters with the two boys happily together. If you want some fluff for your COVID-19 crisis reading, this could fit the bill.
