I have never given a book harsh review but this was just trash I don't even know how it has 4.28 stars.This is absolute shit . It was sooooo cliche but not the good kind the kind that less than halfway through the book I knew the plot and the end .
It started great i could feel sympathy for Beyah but then idk where it took a turn to become complete crap.
He is sent to jail so obviously she has to become a lawyer to defend him .

Okay, I think I might have figured out why I love [a:Colleen Hoover 5430144 Colleen Hoover https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1464032240p2/5430144.jpg]'s books. It's simple really. I care about what happens to her main character—and not in a superficial way. It's more in a “if I don't find out, I'll go nuts” kind of way. But why?In [b:Heart Bones 51007311 Heart Bones Colleen Hoover https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1580936060l/51007311.SY75.jpg 75856512], the first chapter introduces 19-year-old Beyah, who comes home to find her mother dead from an overdose. We find out that Beyah has basically been raising herself, though her “real” father did send support checks. He had little visibility into Beyah's existence. Not trusting men became a way for a young girl to stay alive in her household. So, even if she visited her father once a year, she told him nothing about her home life. Only a heartless creep wouldn't care what happens to Beyah. Just to flip the script, the author takes the main character from the depths of poverty to a very comfortable lifestyle in the matter of 24 hours. Crazy!But still, I found myself overly concerned about Beyah in her new world and what she didn't know to expect there. Just having regular meals was a real treat for her. She isn't the least bit interested in Samson (or any guy) at the beginning. It's takes a lot to turn that around. Almost every chapter holds a new nugget of information about Beyah (and Samson) until the reader starts to get comfortable with their connection. Then, BOOM, the slap in the face you didn't expect. Overall, I loved this book. I read it in 24 hours, not bad for a 324-page novel. Make sure you have the time to devote to it. You won't want to put it down.

CoHo is, undeniably, a damn good writer. No matter how cliched her books can be. No matter how predictable her stories can be. She's a good story-teller. She knows how to pull her readers in, how to entice them, how to make them fall head over heels with her characters.While I don't fall head over heels with the characters here, I like the way their characters developed, how they matured. Mind you, these are young characters but due to the hardships they faced, they have more depth to their characters, more layers, so to speak. Compared to Julie in [b:You've Reached Sam 53086843 You've Reached Sam Dustin Thao https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1610730335l/53086843.SY75.jpg 73341676], I found Beyah to be more realistic and relatable. And likeable.As per usual CoHo, the mummy/daddy issue is present. But I admire how Beyah carries herself, how strong and adamant she is (despite her obsession with Samson, but I understand why).Come at me, world. You can't damage the impermeable.Another gem from CoHo, for sure.

if u wanna start out with Colleen Hoover... I will most definitely start with this book of hers!!

This is hands down my favorite CoHo read and one of her most underrated for sure!

The relationship she started with her step sister is beautiful, something I was not expecting at all. Her relationship with Samson? 110% everything I needed. Absolutely beautiful. I love Samson with my entire heart.

Please read this if you like Outer Banks !!! The Outer Banks vibes are strong and Samson has some JJ Maybank vibes so if he's your cup of tea.... Heart Bones also might be.... Juuust saying.

This book made me feel so much, in both good and bad ways. I cried but that was honestly expected, I mean come on, it IS a Colleen Hoover book. It made me so happy and sad at the same time. I'll be thinking about this book for a long time. I loved it so much and learned so much from it. This is most definitely a favorite

Pretty typical Colleen Hoover. Sad characters treated badly by life find each other. Entertaining but nothing extraordinary. Will cause feels.

Audiobook was well narrated.

If you ever need a feel-good, get you out of a slump read, Colleen Hoover is a great author to dive into.

If you know of this author, you know her books will tug at the heart strings, melt all the bad vibes surrounding you, and of course bring the tears.

But when it's all said and done you are left happy, fuzzy-filled and content.

Strengthen Your Heart Bone

Stunning. Seriously, just a really beautiful, powerful romance. I had no idea what to expect going into this - and that's how I'd recommend everyone go into it - so the story unraveled in such an organic, mesmerizing way. From page one, you can tell that there's an intensity about the book that sets it apart from the rest; a heaviness that gives this love story such WEIGHT. And it truly is a love story. Our heroine goes on her own journey throughout the course of the book, but through it all, there's that one guy who makes an impact. It's one of the best books I've read all year, hands down, and the kind of story that you'll want to reread with fresh eyes as soon as you turn the last page. I can say for sure that this has made my favorites box this year. I just finished Layla by the same author and that was such a different experience.

I'm not going to go into a lot of detail about the plot on this one, because I think you should discover it as you read. There's an incredible build in intimacy, a slow burn romance with depth, and a mysterious quality to both our hero and the story as a whole. The book kicks off on a somber note and does have a heavy feel to much of it, but there is also so much wonder and that feeling you only get with young love. It's new adult romance with a 19-year-old heroine who is just starting to really live. She comes from a troubled background, with many, many triggers in her history, and they appear right away. I think that the triggers are needed to show depth of character and makes me love Beyah even more. As for Samson I felt him to be so genuine and so broken that you couldn't help but love them as a couple.

My favorite part about the book? It is so engaging yet makes you really think about love, yourself and the world around you and how people make the best of the life they are given. Told exclusively from the heroine's perspective, there are little breadcrumbs along the way that tell us more about the hero. These two seem so different on the surface, but the more they wade into the depths, the more commonalities they discover. At one point, I was so convinced that I knew where the story was heading... but I was completely wrong. And I love that. It kept me engrossed from start to finish, and I ended up devouring it in one sitting. Even though my review is days after I read it. That doesn't take away from how much I enjoyed it.

I have so many thoughts about this book. This was one of those books that make you think “it's definitely good but it's not amazing” in the first half and then leaves you speechless by the end. The oh-so mysterious Samson's life secrets are promised to be revealed toward the end of the book. Once they are, the story moves a mile a minute.

I can't remember the last time I read an entire book in one sitting. I could not put this down and here it is, nearly 3 am, and I have happy tears running down my face because this book was THAT good. It definitely has the vibe of some of Colleen's pre-IEWU books, which are some of my all time favorites. Really loved this one!
