I have never cried harder than I did when I read this masterpiece. Augustus and Hazel are ( yes, I will write them in present tense) my fav couple. And OMG when Augustus wanted to attend his own funeral and Hazel gave that eulogy i just was out of words.
I love this book. It is so beautifully written. The best part about it was that the murderer was never obvious like in a lot of books I have read. It had thrill of never knowing who could be the killer and at the end everybody got what they deserved.
Most of the time I thought the killer of sal and Andie was either Max or Jason bell but when Pip figured out it was Elliott I literally screamed.
And that twist where the girl Elliott had kidnapped was not Andie it was just perfect.
I wanted to love this book so much. I tried and tried and almost DNFed it a few times because it was so boring. This book had a lot of hype and I went into it with high expectations. I love Circe (from the little I know about Greek mythology) but this book was completely different from her. This shows Circe as an ugly and weak person which she is not. And another thing that offends me a little is the way Madeline Miller writes women. In her books, there are only two types of women, either very cruel or completely harmless.
This is probably my fav enemies to lovers fluff book. The characters just fit together perfectly and although i did kind of not like Liz for a little while she grew on me . I am a sucker for the books where the guy falls first so the moment i realized wes liked liz i started jumping up and down . liz being obsessive over micheal and then realising her feelings for wes is just chef's kiss.
First of all holy shit the plot twist of this book is amazing. At first I started to get a bit bored but the minute that chapter came i literally screamed. How could I have not seen it coming . Theo as the psychopath made complete sense. It was so beautifully plotted.
