This was hilarious and fast paced. Flew through the audiobook. The innumerable π jokes made this x10 more enjoyable!
This one has asexual, demi, autistic rep ππ» Started it and did such a double take when I saw the ace tags on the audiobook. It was very engaging, with the ace and autism parts written very well. Made me very happy to finally read a story with the revulsion bit of being ace written in. It also dealt with chronic pain that did not magically get cured. Tragic back stories and star trek fanfiction galore π
Randomly found this on Storytel and decided to listen since I needed something lighthearted and easy to get through.
It was not that lighthearted but it was so much. I loved every minute of it. There's cuteness, heartbreak, healthy link discussions π I enjoyed this a lot. Idiots in love my beloved!
This book came up as recommended after I read The Tarot Sequence by K.D. Edwards, both being urban fantasy, both having queer rep π
This was great! Fast paced and lovely. The story is so creepy with cutesy bits thrown in. 5 mins in and Adam is in a soulmate AU fanfic β¨ While simultaneously fighting the demons of his past (aka his family). The elves were hilarious. There were some reveals that were so juicy π Vic's family wins the best family award π
This book is sponsored by driving π There's way too many cars, people driving cars, cars getting the crap beat out of them, car theft, thinking about car repairs.
Love love love love love this book!!! β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ
I sat for 30 minutes after finishing this book trying to figure out all the crossovers we got in the last 20 pages!
This is more of an infodump than a review. Beware of the glorious spoilers ahead for Cosmere: Stormlight and Warbreaker. Like, heavy spoilers.Questions:- Firstly, who in the worlds brought Nightblood from Warbreaker into Stormlight? We have more than one Worldhopper? I don't even know what a Worldhopper even is but damn the spoilers online.- Damn, Zahel taught these guys how to use a Shardblade so...? Zahel is Vasher??? WHAT?! That's how he can stay alive without Breaths? Well then, did we really need to kill Lightsong? And he brought Nightblood here and is giving it to Szeth who died and was revived so... Szeth is a returned now too? Pleaseeee, make it even more confusing.- Does that make Hoid a Herald too?- Also, Shardblades are supposedly Spren but Nightblood was forged by Vasher so how is it a Shardblade again? - Nightblood uses breaths when it is drawn! How can it still do that in Stormlight? Stormlight = Breaths?- Didn't all the Radiants leave and only Tal was left behind? Then what in the name of Storms is the Herald of Justice doing here? And he tried to kill a Radiant nonetheless. Unlesssss, they left Roshar and went to other worlds of the Cosmere. Mmm...Interesting.- Adolin! My God, did you have to kill him? You're one of the only cheerful characters in this book so damn if this has consequences that I'm not ready for.- So Stormfather is a Spren and then Syl is the daughter so she's the Spren of a Spren? :') What? How much more divisible are you going to be?*P.S.: I'm so glad I read Warbreaker before reading this book :) even though I was screaming when this book wasn't available on Amazon and I had to pick up Warbreaker instead. Good thing that happened, eh? Note to self: This was edited after finishing Oathbringer.
Spoilers and Rant/analysis
The beginning was confusing and annoying (didn't like Victor) but the ending was amazing! Both the characters existed because of each other and were constantly at a war with themselves and with each other. I loved the story but didn't like any characters
This was so cute! I bought it to give it away to a children's book club.
It's a cute story about a girl enrolled in a monster school, with Indian themes. Greek mythology references and a lot of βshow don't tell' going on in this which was very pleasing.
The art is also very cute. There's a bridge of bones, cows on the roads, Mr. Puu (reference to Tamil word Poochandi), Vandriver Hellsing, vampire (aka mosquito) children, electric rackets to electrocute them like we do here with mosquitoes lol.
There's 2 more so I'll read the whole thing and give it away as a gift
DNF at page 78. I do not like female characters like Tracey. I have this urge to fling this miserable book out my window. Secret Santa should have at least read the summary before blindly buying a book. Can't believe there's a trilogy of this. Let's not expect people to buy me good books.
I didn't know this had two separate stories and was thrown off so bad when the second one started. Also, there's meaning lost in translation and some stuff didn't come across properly and made me think it probably sounded more profound in Japanese.
This book was so full of feelings. Anger, resignation, joy, love. Loved the contrast of the story starting out as an angry tale of subjugated women to ending with love and acceptance and the beauty of the people you meet in your life.
Bonus points for lesbian dragons!
I completely forgot I was reading this! It was so boring. I've never had this strong of an urge to slap fictional characters. So much crying.
Why did everybody tell all their problems to Eleanor? Leave the poor girl alone. Just because she's too polite to refuse doesn't mean she wants to listen to your shit.
Also, Willoughby was 100% an ass, confirmed. But I didn't like Edward all that better either. If a man gave me that much headache, I'd dump his ass
This was a bit darker than Vol 1, which is great for me, not so great for the 6 year old who will be getting these.
Loved the art for the forest, the visualization of everyone's fears, that one reference of Shaktimaan
So cute
This was really good. Read this without reading the graphic novels and had one hell of a time. Everyone is so stupid and precious
Stop overwatering the jade plant! This is the therapy volume (finally)! Unhinged Hermes my beloved. Gooo Psyche wohooo!
This might have been just one part of the first book, but my goodness was it riveting! I loved every second of it, and every character in it. The story is amazing and very well written. I love it ^_^
Pretty good. I loved that there were stories for all age groups. The last one was a bit slow because I haven't experienced that yet. The first four, especially the first one about jobs and cooking for yourself were lovely.
This was really good and nice and had sooooo much consent. It was a dream come true. Hades the consent king
1 star baaaad
Uhhhh.... Pretty generic and the only thing new or different was the ending. Almost turned into a generic YA novel about factions or magic school but thank God we ran out of pages before that possibility could be considered.
4 stars
Liked this one. It wasn't out of this world but it also wasn't mundane or boring. And the writing style was normal
