This one was different, and very well written. Loved the symbolism of the candles. This is my second favourite so far after Saint.

Good concept, poor execution. Make it make sense please. Or at least hint at something. The cover for this reminds me of the forest from annihilation. Mumbo jumbo of words without any ending, open or closed. Also this is written specifically for KU so I know it wasn't a formatting error, but the way the poems were written was so bizzare. Just write normally. And what was with the romance in 30 pages? No sense anywhere. After the disaster is the second book of Orisa, I don't think I can enjoy this author's writing anymore.

What was this omg! Best short story I've ever read! This was so damn cool. And so full of heart and love. I knew Alix wouldn't disappoint me since I loved January so much ❤️
Edit: Having read all the stories, this remains the best of them. This story had everything.

Not bad, but I feel like everything is going to fall short after the Saint story. I needed a bit more on the main characters.

Oh my god! This was sooo creepy but also so good. Most of the twists and turns you can guess after they've been hinted at. Makes the story more fun to read. I knew the short story by Tamsyn would have lesbians in it and I wasn't let down.
Edit: 2nd favourite story. The only story with gay rep. The longest of them all. The creepiest too.
3.5 ✨
Starting off by saying this book was very fast paced. I flew through it. Happy it didn't drag.
Now onto my main gripe - my aroace ass did not like the constant horny thoughts. The sex scenes were baaaaaad and I've read everything Ali Hazelwood has thrown at me. This was bad, bad.
I did like the storyline. Loved the sassy dragons. Loved the banter with the dragons. No one told me that was gonna be so much fun. Also liked how Violet had a chronic condition for a main character that did not get magically cured.
Fun cliffhanger ending!
PS. My friend and I nicknamed this as ‘the horny book.
P.P.S. THERE'S GOING TO BE 5 OF THESE??? (overkill)
Super fun! I'm so glad I gave this author another try.
Consent is sexy! Especially when that consent is asked for before even touching/holding hands with someone. I loved how the characters were so aware of their and each other's boundaries and never crossed it.
My favourite was the cat
4.5 stars!
This was very good. The ending broke me. But throughout the whole book I was so happy that Victor was ace. And that's it. No long ass discussions, no nothing, no changing his mind.
Rambo reminded me of Chauncey from Cerulean Sea ✨ Nurse Ratched was sooo cool

This was a fucking piece of shit. Only good thing was that I didn't have to read a sex on the chessboard scene.
No coherent thoughts, only curses for this book.
There was dubious consent and many vaguely insulting things. Learn to do fucking research (the chess moves for the Polgar vs Anand game were wrong even though it's available on a simple Google search), stop trying to appeal to the tiktok masses.
Stabbing this book like it's Julius Caesar.
This was so cute! And relaxing. Sometimes, Tumblr recs really hit the spot. Although what was that last raven story about
(No spoilers)
This was my favourite of the secret projects, simply by being Stormlight adjacent. It was so much fun to read. Hadn't had this much fun in a while.
Fucked up worlds with the sun/moon being the source of problems, my beloved.
The hints start dropping from page 2 and don't stop. It was pretty easy to guess who Nomad was, but it was so enjoyable seeing little references to things we loved in other books. That did not make the other reveals hurt any less, or the ending!
My favorite side character was Adonalsium-will-remember-our plight-eventually (nicknamed AWROPE by yours truly), who did not show up again. Hope he survived the very many catastrophic events.
The only book which gave me a very strong urge to punch Hoid. Brandon will pay my therapy bill which is getting longer with every book!
4.5 ✨
The starting was sooo confusing and even the middle. It really hit off after the mid way. Loved the anime illustrations so much. Highlight of the book as it illustrated my favourite scenes. Not me tearing up again near the end.
(I saw the Kimi no na wa mention in the acknowledgements coming from a mile away)
Oh thank God the angst was barely there. I was so scared. Props to my boy Eros for being a true bestie! Really needed that
How do I give this book/series all the stars in the world? No review I write will come close to how much I adore the characters and the love they have for each other.
I'd like to read 100 more of these.
The audiobook narration is still the best ✨

This book was hilarious in hindsight. It flipped the gender norms so everything happening in the book to men, is what happens to women in reality. Read it thinking that and you'll have a lightbulb moment like aha! Men do this in reality and say thinly veiled insults like this every damn day.
I read a completely different book than everyone else. Weirdly enough, I liked the shadow of what was lost better than this. This was too reminiscent of Awakening magic in Warbreaker, and Red Rising but I loved both those books.
Woooo this was such a good book. Loved the concept and the execution! And I liked so many characters.
Beginning and end were fun. The middle dragged so much. Wasn't really all that mind blowing. Read for the dragons, got only one dragon for very short time
