Because of the author and the description, I expected this to be better than it actually was. The story line took forever to get going and then flew at the end. The main character was so in her own head all the time that it got in the way of the story.

I love this book and couldn't put it down! Love the characters and the history of the Salem witches. I love books that intertwine history with their storyline. I didn't realize this was the 2nd book in a series. It worked well as a standalone novel, although now I want to go back and read the 1st one.

lots of great recipes, esp for those that are dieting. if you're not a splenda fan, this book is probably not for you.

This book was just ok. The story line was interesting enough to keep me reading, but never really got me hooked. No real suspense or mystery. The back and forth between the past and present day was confusing and then it seemed like there was another side story intertwined until it matched up at the end. Over all it was just ok.

What a fantastic book!! I stayed up til 2am to finish. This was an enticing combination of modern day and the Sidhe, a combination I hadn't found before.

Very well written and the story was very engaging! I can't wait to read the next book in the series!!

This book was good, but disturbing. The details of human sex trafficking and how easy it is to trap kids into it is horrifying. The two story lines didn't really mess together, except for the main character, but it was still a good read.

I'm not sure I can properly review this book since it has apparently changed greatly since the reader review copy was issued. I think I read the original, which wasn't bad, but wasn't great. Would really like to read the finished copy that was published to see the difference.

I used to really like Brown's books, with the mix of present and past, but this one seemed to drag and I was just happy when it was finished. I enjoyed the historical aspects more than the present day timeline although they really both came together at the end.
