I didn't love this as much as some of his other work, too much just a stream of facts and not enough linking together. Still worth a listen I guess but not my favorite.
It was starting to be a military drama that just happened on another planet, and then POOF! Skippy appeared and suddenly I was really engaged again! Ended up loving it!
Oh I liked that. Still getting used to the subtle undertones of the romantic subplot, I'm used to it being a much bigger part but these aren't that kind of book. ;)
This was really fun, a bit slow in the middle but then a snowball-rush to the end!
Which I really liked too, seeds planted for the next book, but nothing written in stone. :)
I really like her as a person, and I like the stories, but she still leans a little too heavily on relationship politics and there are some lengthy descriptions that didn't really need to be there, but one could say the same about Tolkien so definitely still worth reading!
This was really good! There's a sweet spot between a mystery/conspiracy complex enough to NOT be immediately obvious, and one that's TOO complex and you can't follow the resolution, this was PERFECT! :)
Awww. I love these! The mystery played a larger part in this particular book, and she used it to resolve something I'd been wondering about. Excellent!!
Wow! Long and complicated but full of interesting tidbits about cooking and history and trade routes and such. Definitely worth a read/listen! :)
Lost me about halfway through, then sucked me back in, and eventually ended on a cliffhanger! Well played, Mr Denning!
Took a while to get me engaged, main character sort of starts out like a sociopath. But in the end I really liked it!
Aww, I liked this one better than the last. She's got an odd pace, seems to peak in the MIDDLE and then again at the end, but I'm getting used to it.
This was just excellent! It's a love story, but not the one you think, and the ending took me entirely by surprise. So! Good!
This was surprisingly good! I picked it out for being short and not too serious, but turns out to have some good fun and wisdom hiding in it. (Audible reader was the author, and not great, but definitely still worth a read/listen.)
Excellent! Super-inclusive, smart, funny, good-to-know info for anyone who loves any kind of woman in any kind of shape. Highly-recommend!
“read” via Audible, reader was REALLY excellent!
Gayest fantasy story, or most fantastical gay love-story, or ...I don't even know. but I LOOOOVED it. Really funny, true love, silly villains and lovable characters. Anxiously awaiting the sequel. :)
More about her mental illness than the last book, but still pretty funny in places. A GREAT read for folks with mental health issues they're working on!
Loved this. VERY dark and sad and horrifying for the first half, then funny and sweet and wonderful for the second half. well worth the wait. :)
Love it! Always love it. And the sneaky last line that I had to Google was an awesome hint for the next book. :)
