Honestly the first book had kind of a clumsy start. But now it has thoroughly sucked me in. It's a fantastic balance of fantasy and romantic elements. And the plot twist in the last 10% of this book, completely unexpected! Love it.
really good story
It's a little gory but it's got a very good story so far. I am really enjoying the character development.
This one was more horny and less silly than the first one, I think I like the silly more, but still good fun and I will grab the next one.
I found this really bland and it had some plot points and story mechanisms that just made me uncomfortable.
Ohhh, that was lovely. Alice in wonderland-ish but with a slightly darker plot. So dreamlike and beautiful. :)
Much darker than i'd hoped, more creepy and dramatic than delightful. Caveat emptor, also the Audible reader is terrible at accents. :/
Aww. Love the Native American story line, plus it opens all sorts of doors for future books. And as always, she's just excellent at balancing a good story with a romantic subplot. :)
Not a fan of the anthology style, but very well-done and the full cast performance was excellent.
I liked this, but the Audible reader was super bland and liked to end everything with an up-note, so it all sounded like a question? sir? And all his women sound similar unless they have an accent. But the story itself sounded like it had some funny bits mixed up with an interesting plot. If I “read” the next book, I'll READ the next book.
Loved it! New players in The Game, integrated without feeling contrived, and renewed connections with allies, with a whole new setting and quest. Love it. :)
I didn't love this one as much as some of the others, I could see what she was doing but it wasn't quite as skillfully written as other books. But the story itself was good, and I look forward to seeing more.
Oh, this was really good! It took me a bit to get into it, but I think that was just me.
Excellent murder-mystery, I figured out part of the solution but not all of it and it was interesting right up to the end.
It's philosphy, it makes my brain hurt even while it firms up thoughts that have been in my head for a while. Not sure, but PRETTY sure that means I chose the right philosopher. :)
This was really fun. Good story, good plot twists, plenty of room to build the story into more. And whoever was complaining about “teenagers using the word bleep” obviously didn't get very far, it's explained, actually her unorthodox isolated upbringing could also explain it. Makes perfect sense in context.
I will be looking for the next one!
The proofreader was asleep for the last third of the book, which was unfortunate.
But the stories just keep getting more complex. I could wish she didn't have so many loose ends resolved by “Deus Ex Atlantean” though. :/
Ohhh. I liked that. It was hard getting into a new universe with new rules and new canon, but I did. :)
I really liked this. Expected it to be much more dry, it was really a semi-biography of Charles Norris and his advancement of the field of forensic toxicology, as well as the history of the poisons themselves. Very interesting stuff!
I didn't love this one as much, can't decide if it was me not paying attention, or the story was just a little less cohesive...but still enjoyed it well enough to move on to the next one! :)
