The teenage drama and NSFW scenes ruined it for me. The dragon bonding signet manifesting thing was pretty cool and I actually liked the idea, the problem, for me, was in the execution.

Unsettling, uncomfortable, weird and interesting all at the same time

The author does a good job of setting us in but, sometimes, the chapter is so boring it takes a toll on the reader

Great read, expected to learn about economy, ended up learning about economy, politics and philosophy.

It looks like the book of a beginner. The characters have exaggerated traits, the plots seems forced and predictable, the "magic system" is poorly constructed, the "genius" characters and riddles they have to solve are too simple, …

World building, character development, backstory, everything is perfect. My single complaint is the lead up to the climax of the book is reeeeaallyy long

A few parts seem forced and has too many cliches for my linking. It resembles Hunger games (and the 1001 similar other series).

The adventure plot is kept at the background and I felt like no part of the story was the main focus and everything seemed a bit disconnected and confusing.

It starts off a little slow, but picks up the pace and keeps you entertained through the entire book. I really enjoyed how the political plays are portrayed.

I absolutely loved how the author played with decisions, morality, duty, ...

The first book seems shallow compared to the depth this one reaches.

The story does not need a lot of conflict or action to keep you entertained. Sanderson brushes deep topics through the charismatic Spirit.
