Some good points, with attribution to evidence, but too much opinion and general statements weaved in along the way to make this truly useful.
Maybe didn't translate to audiobook format, didn't enjoy / resonate as much as I thought / hoped.
Started off like I was hoping, digging into Genghis Khan's life. Halfway through the book it reached his passing then I felt like it was a CliffsNotes summary from his death all the way to the 20th century. Rushed and unfulfilling 2nd half.
Better put together than previous books, unfortunately you need to go through some of the roughness in previous books (e.g. Black Swan) to “get” the most out of this one.
Grew up on the Fitzgerald translation, re-reading every couple of years.
1/19/2020 - Fagles translation.

Lots of research and time was put into this book, and I'd recommend this as an must-read for everyone - inform yourselves about the state of the current food industry, and realize that obesity / heart diseases / diabetes are strongly tied to the Western diet.
Nothing particularly new / special but decent time filler (especially in audiobook form).
Normally not a fan of short stories, but I am a Warren Ellis fan so gave it a shot. Great, fun, meticulously detailed read.
Good introduction, I think I was expecting more. If you are already familiar with the inflammatory stoking nature of gluten feel free to skip this one.
