A great read, it only took 10-15 minutes to go through as it is a kids' book. Yet I found myself lingering on pages and enjoying the art and timeless quotes written here.
“How you do anything is how you do everything. Her father would say. And if you do it well it can be beautiful, no matter what it is.”
“Every situation has two handles, Musonius explained, we can grab the one that empowers us or the one that doesn't. We can see the obstacle or the opportunity.”
These books on stoicism get me to reexamine what I do and work to improve inner landscape and in doing so the outer world improves as well.
It's a light read and thus lacks depth. Has potential, the final section on Manager to Empployee was done best.
This book should be on the classics list of books. It is full of to the point moral facts that can elevate ones daily practice and bring them prosperity and joy.

Bridges the gap between Western and Eastern medicine.
Very good study for someone who wants to gather more perspectives on the teachings of Jesus.
Some gems to be sure, not a 120 though. The printing of this book has some issues as well, minor text missing and odds borders.
Reviews all the positive reasons why adding a dose of 5-HTP can greatly boost our mood and or release us from depression.
For someone who has practiced the martial art of Aikido for only 3 years Sensei Geis speaks with a deep understanding and knowledge. The wisdom is hidden in what seems like simple anecdotes. A book I will read again as my martial arts practice continues.
It sat on my shelf for over a year before I took it down and began to read it and fulfill a promise to do so.
Beyond anything, I had conceived that it might be about. Jitterbug perfume often caused me to stop grab a pen and underline a passage so profound it halted my thought in its tracks.
May this book find its way to your shelf and impact your life for the better.
Some good insights, worth a dig into if you like Tom Robbins' writing style. Found it less than Jitterbug Perfume.
The conversation between Jesus and Tarzan was the best part.
An excellent read with an old-school feel. The author is well thought out and does an excellent job bringing his world to life. I highly recommend the audible version because the great voices add more depth to the character.
Really really goes into detail of how we came to be in the information age and who orchestrated that.
It has quality, and it does show and demonstrate some good lessons. However, I felt it came up short on stories and quotes that I was expecting about Marcus Aurelius.
Some quotes from the book I do like are:
“Life's lessons only begin with books, Ruticus said. They don't stop there.”
“Never let yourself be heard complaining, their mother told them, not even to yourselves.”
“To whom much is given, much is expected, she said again. To do wrong to one person is to do wrong to yourself.”
Kept hearing about this book. When I got around to reading this spiritual journey I was in awe and woken up by the life that Paramahansa Yogananda lived.
Well worth it to anyone who is embarking to deepen their spiritual journey.
After reading this book, I wanted to change careers to work with soil science.
From the little details to the big picture she covers it.
So go get out and explore those things you don't think are important!
And make sure to make as many metaphors as you can.
A book full of examples of discipline. It gave me numerous reasons to become more inspired with what I'm capable of becoming.

Doing a great job of viewing simple and the sublime together to create a unique heroes journey while also making fun of the motif.
Hold up, slow down, and think again. How often do we get caught up and think we know the answer? And because of this lose the chance to learn and gain greater understanding.
