I was able to relate to the main character in regards to her strict Catholic upbringing but that's where it ends. The characters seemed to lack any substance and there was never a clear definitive reason for each characters distress. I can't give 2.5 stars so I went with three because it was a quick read.
I have not read a book in a while where I cried, laughed and yelled at the characters out loud! I love this book and would recommend it to all!
I just couldn't get over the fact that I read book one and two in one book and I can't tell you What the story is about other than there's a girl who has some power. I was truly disappointed.

I only got to chapter 3 and couldn't do it. I'm not uusally a romance reader but this one was not my cup of tea. The main characters had only met by chapter 3 twice and they already are planning on having Thanksgiving dinner together and watching a baby who was left with the male character as a couple. The male character has decided he's in love with her by this point because she looks cute in satin. I just can't, the forceful kisses and the uncomfortable innuendo that the female character has asked the male character not to hint at is ignored. I will call it quits here and move on.
As a mother to two autistic boys I found this story to be so touching. Kate doesn't sugarcoat her feelings and it's refreshing to think I'm not the only one who had similar feelings. I highly recommend this book to all parents of autistic children, it really made me appreciate our autism.
What a great collection of short spooky stories. Some of the stories fell short for me but overall this is a great quick read to get into the Halloween spirit!!
The Sea of Lost Girls is about a Tess a woman who has spent most of her adult life trying to hide her sordid past and protect her teenage son. When a young girl, her son's girlfriend, ends up dead Tess can no longer keep her past a secret.
I enjoyed the plot and characters but the execution of the storyline fell a little short for me. Characters who were an afterthought in the beginning of the story end up being pivotal towards the end with hardly and character development. Aside from this critique the book is thrilling and exciting!
I enjoyed this book very much. Being from Vegas I enjoyed the familiar locations used. I was a fan of Noah being a genuine character, who is in love but not that sappy twinkling love.
I'm part of a book club and will be recommending this book.
This is a very cute Christmas romance story! I'm glad I opted to read it when it came up on my Kindle deals page.
Evergreen Inn is a quaint Vermont hotel owned by Jeanne and Tim who left the corporate life after buying the inn from sweet little old Louis. Unfortunately with a new large lodge that opened up the road their business may go under if they can't book reservations as soon as possible. It's Christmas week and as Jeanne prepares for a guests wedding miracles start to happen. We get to meet several characters who are all at the inn due to a severe blizzard that doesn't allow them to make it to the lodge for their Christmas reservations.
The love stories these guests have are so wonderful and gave me all the Hallmark movie feels!
I enjoyed this book of short stories. They were very descriptive and held my attention even though each story was no more than 10 pages each. This is the first time I've read Susan Gabriel's work and I am going to seek out more from her.
This was a quick decision read and it was cute. If you love sweet little stories of love and family I recommend.
I thought I'd give this a whirl since I wanted to reach my goal for the year in books read, but boy was this hard to get through. I understand the symbolism after reading a more in depth review on the story but overall just not my favorite.
Fantastic read, I give this book five well earned stars.
Call Your Daughter Home is a story about three women who should not have a thing in common but they do and they band together to change the course of their own futures. Retta is a loving house maid who has suffered so many losses but chooses to do the best by others. Gertrude suffers immense abuse at the hands of her husband and finally makes a change for the benefit of her daughters. Ms. Annie Coles is the matriarch of her family and despite the loss of a child and the distance set between her and her daughters she finds a way with the help of Retta and Gertrude to make things right.
I loved the writing style of this story, you feel so empathetic and you really get a sense of the struggle each woman faces despite their social status. It's always refreshing to see that behind every man is a woman who has worked harder than one can imagine to keep her family thriving. The love told in this story is palpable and I shed tears when the characters finally see justice for the wrongs that have been done to them.
I appreciate that even though there are some really triggering issues in this book, such as molestation and domestic abuse, the writing is done in a classy way and not at all in a crude manner. You know wrong is being done and you see the flip side of the abusers getting their day in court so to speak.

Definitely not a huge fan of this book. The main character, Advika, starts off being described as a strong willed, takes no bull woman but then flips completely because a famous producer falls in love with her? This story could have been so much more but sadly just fell so flat for me.
I just couldn't finish this book. I enjoyed the beginning but by the sixth chapter I was over it. I usually enjoy ya but this was a tad to whimsical for me.
This book was great, I was thrown at the end. The love these siblings had was so extreme, every family has secrets and those secrets were plentiful in The Thirteenth Tale.
Lisa Gardner did it again! This book was just amazing, the twists and turns were so exciting and there was not a moment that I was bored.
Tessa Leoni is my new favorite, I wish that Lisa would take this character and create more stories for her.
I have to be quite honest this book bored me. I gave it two stars because I felt so sad for the main character and Elizabeth Flock writes beautifully. This book could have been 100 pages and you would still get the feeling she was trying to get across.
I was very excited about the beginning of the book and the development of the characters and then it died. The story just dragged and didn't develop the characters any further.
What a cute little collection of letters, the creativity from J.R.R. Tolkein is astounding!
Mockingjay was not what I expected from this series. It was very slow and only picked up in the last 100 pages.
I held my breath the entire time I was reading this book. I debated between giving this book four or five stars, four took the lead only because I felt I heard this story in a Lifetime movie before.
This being Chevy Stevens first novel I was pleasantly impressed. The raw emotion of the main character is what had me turning the pages at lightening speed. I can't wait to read her second novel.
