See allI found this at another used book store and I was happy with it. It's written in English and some of the English references went over my head but overall it was a good read. I would recommend this to any married woman who is thinking of straying, it sure made me scared to ever wander.
I struggled getting through the book. I don't know if it was solely based on the fact that I had already seen the movie and expected more or just that the story was super lackluster.
The action was all of maybe two chapters and was not very intense. I wish I would have loved this book but I just didn't. The science took up so much of this book and I just could not appreciate all the charts. I'm intelligent but not a scientist or biologist so I was bored! The characters were completely different than the movie too and that was interesting but that's about it. The ending was horrible and I guess expected since the action was a let down.
Two ⭐️⭐️ only because I do love the movie
This story reminded me so much of Princess Diana. I absolutely love the idea of a royal wanting to be as normal as a commoner but not being able to due to their new status.
I only read to Chapter 6 and had to stop. I figured out the plot by this point and there was no necessity to read all the smut.
I chose to read the summary and it was as I guessed. I gave this genre a second chance and I don't think I'll ever revisit.
I know there's a huge following for Sylvia Day (and romance in general) but I just can't wrap my mind around the lack of content. There is absolutely nothing but sex and the most ridiculous ways to describe it.
After getting through the first 100 pages or so I was finally hooked. Mr. Larsson took quite some time laying out the storyline and that was appreciated but I prefer books that just suck you in immediately. The character of Lisbeth was so raw you couldn't help feeling sorry for her. I was happy with the way this book ended and I would recommend this book to anyone.
