Very evocative of the time and a gripping storyline to keep interest until the end of the book.

Perform in the show it helped me understand the character more and appreciate just how much work goes in to staging these shows .

Really interesting book, multi layered and colourful

Took me a bit to get in to the book but once I got in to it I enjoyed the book. Poignant and thought provoking.

Stephen Fry manages to take a subject that could be dry and dull and make it interesting and accessible, no mean feat. I read the book whilst on holiday in Greece which helped me enjoy the book a little more

I really enjoyed this book, having wanted to read it for a long time I borrowed it from the library. Raynor aeon writes in an easy to read style and I felt invested in her story.

I found it interesting learning about the lives of those who were the victims of Jack the Ripper. An interesting piece of social history.

The final in the series, probably my least favourite, I just couldn't buy in to Atretes and Rizpah's relationship- so many unhealthy traits in them
Both, it seems like quite a toxic relationship, although I'll admit to seeing it through 21st century eyes.
Other than that it was good to pick up the characters stories and see the different strands of the story coming together.

Written in a similar magical style to The Night Circus, I found this book not quite as engrossing and found the ending dragged on a bit too much. Story didn't grab me as much as the Night Circus but still a good read.
