Love T A Williams books, especially the ones set in Italy, perfect escapist reading.

A lovely gentle book... made me want to visit Italy again

It took me a long time to get in to the book but the more I read the more I got in to it. I enjoyed the mix of fiction to support historical events.

Ridiculous book, a drag to read. Predictable and childish characters

A nice story, but found I didn't get in to it as much as I did with ‘The Lido' which I loved.
