This is so badly written it hurts!
“Gus kills this with a swoosh then he kills that with a bang, then he drinks one and a half bottle of rum. Still standing on his feet he kills one million more Zombies before bedtime.”

An ok thriller, but really nothing special. Felt the humor akward and a bit misplaced at times.

Dresden files has become somewhat a guilty pleasure of mine. Not classic litterature but the drak humor, the action and the fantastic world building is none the less great fun!

Lost my interest i the third act, thats a first for me when it comes to Wilbur Smith. I really didnt like any of the protagonist

August 10, 2020

Well, Smith is an exelent storyteller. But his portrait of women and sexuality is wierd beyond reason. Sometimes his novels reads like a porno - not in detail but in execution.

Sloppy writing and dialog so stiff it hurts. dont know why i read it to the end. Guess i dislike to give up on books. I remember Follett as a fantastic writer
