قال الناس إن أوڤ رأى العالم بالأبيض والأسود. لكنها هي كانت بالألوان. كانت كلّ لون عرفه.

I hated that guy called Ove at first, how one dimensional he is, how much he is attached to an old stupid Saab car, how dry he is, how rude and clear he is, how routine oriented he is, how dead he is....The more i read through the more i saw that avoidant old grandpa for his true self. The memories that made him, how repressed he was at his childhood, how strict his dad was, how he learned that the only quality that makes a man is his own words. Ove was an avoidant one dimensional person, we got to see throught the book his whole life, chapters discussing his romantic life with his wife Sonia (one of the most beautiful and warm relationships i read in a book althought Ove never spoke word of love for her, it showed on every action, it showed in every sensation) , his work life, his life routine, his parents, his beleifs. I really got attached to him so fast, i felt like i'm like him on my own way of thinking, algthough i don't judge people by whether they are riding a Volvo or a Saab, but this guy gave me permision and hope that guys like us can normaly form relationships (beautiful ones too), can form great meaningful connections. This book made me dead ass laugh at myself, especially his relationship with the random cat outside his home. Avoidance exists lol.

I loved how Partinia (his crazy neighbour, as he worded it), kept always trying to pile his walls down and she succedd at that at the end. As the story went by, Ove became less and less avoidant. Not to mention how at first he was trying to end his life on daily basis, because life without Sonia was nothing, she left him in a word that couldn't understand his language, he felt suffocated, no hope in life, he just wanted to rest beside her coffin. I loved how emotionally dead he is, that he always thought in terms of the people he loved. I like this because Sonia would love it !! Didn't imagine i would cry for you Ove, but man i love how real the story convied avoidance and how we really think from the insides. Thank you Ove for giving me that confidence.

كان كما لو أنّه لا يريد أن يتحدّث إليه الناس الآخرون، وكان يخاف من أن تمحوَ أصواتُهم المُثَرثِرة ذكرى صوتِها هي.

«إذا كان هناك شيءٌ واحدٌ يمكن أن يُكتَبَ في نَعي أوڤ عند وفاته، فهو أنه كان على الأقلّ اقتصاديّاً في استهلاك الوقود».

REALLY REALLY GREAT BOOOOK. I enjoyed every bit of this book. I never felt good before about my quitness and introversion, but the author gave me some great tools to overcome this. Tools to overcome anxiety, tools to kill the social anxiety myths, and tools to get over my perfectionism and my inner critic. I loved the social challenges part,too it was too enjoyable. Thank you, Ellen, for this great book. I will definitely use it throughout my entire life.

Normal Book....
Although this is my first horror book, i did sleep normally, that's a big no (excluding one day, we ain't gonna talk about that). The only vibe I got is that of an old Egyptian hotel located Infront of the beach, one I would pass by with grandpa saying this used to be a destination for foreigners. Gawad was a great character, but wtf was that ending?? Couldn't you give the receptionist a better ending?

SUPERB BOOK. IT'S The most realtible book I have ever seen. Hahahahahh.
I will use this book at my self therapy as a guide it will help me identify my traumas faster and understand it better.

GREAT BOOK ABOUT THE ADULT ATTACHMENT STYLE. I benefited a lot, and I found myself thinking more about relationships in terms of attachment rather than the stereotypical way. I didn't just like how the author fu** the avoidants like please we do have feelings too

THIS IS THE MOST BORING BOOK I HAVE EVER READ. I have reached a point of forcing myself to read it, and I couldn't finish half of this book. The book was all over the place & I never found any value on it, maybe because I already knew what introverts are. I read its summary to not miss anything, but unfortunately, the book still failed to deliver any value. I can say it's more of a validation book for the introverts around us (including me)

Pretty Amazing book, I learned a lot about the feminine nature, masculine nature, purpose, love, responsibilities as a man, what to expect from a woman & most importantly. How you should pursue life as a man. It got repetitive near the ends, but that wasn't a big problem.

My first Fyodor Dostoevsky, i didn't regret it weirdly enough. That novel had a very interesting, mysterious flavour, one that i really liked. I found myself connecting with the characters and living inside the book. 10 outta 10

WHAT THE FUCK, THIS NOVEL IS FAR
BEYOND PERFECTION. I REALLY GOT HEAVY EXSESTENTIAL CRISIS READING IT.

How can someone be so creative writing this. This novel took me into another world, a world of the author's imagination. But it actually made sense. Everyone had their intentions and motives perfectly right.

I can't describe enough how good this was. I could resonate with this novel so much. And I felt every bit of detail. The author made a really great job making this not just a novel but a whole masterpeice.

This novel can be teached in universities, the psychological side and politics side were really astonishing, nearly 90% of what the brothers did to control the country, was already some stratgies that major countries use right now. Thank you, George.

It was a really great workbook. The guide was pretty basic, but it was refreshing reading some new stuff about dopamine. I like how he emphasized the importance of the focus and how you should kick your day by a productive habit. I will commit to the partial detox for now.

This book increased my avoidance.

A one of a kind book, this doesn't contain some cheap time hacks and productivity tips. This book is a psychological realistic outline for our limited time on this earth. Yes, probably 4000 weeks only, or even less.

It made me think a lot and question myself. It removed the clutter and the demand of these modern world. It simply gave me permission to not control every second of my day and stop trying to master my time because that's not possible. It gave me permission to sit and do nothing. You don't have to be the next Einstein or Elon musk. Just enjoy your life.

Just live every moment because it won't come back, you have to believe that you are finite and that your influence on this universe is near zero, enjoy the years you are given to live. I believe we are here just to improve ourselves and to show gratitude for God.

The time you are going to save is going to get used to another thing. Human beings are finite. They don't like doing challenging stuff that question their knowledge and current skills. So they simply avoid it. Saving email replies time won't help, bcz you are going to scroll on yt after or you will get distracted with more emails.

Be patient. Let things take its time. Don't try to control the pace of this world. Because the fatser you want the pace to go, the fater you will need to go. Enjoy the process of living.

And remember that you are a human being, you having much control over your time comes with a price, it makes it uneasier to sit with your kids, take a walk with a friend, stargaze etc. You are not anymore synced with your fellow humans, and that should remind you of the soviet union 5 days week experiment.

You need to live 60 times only to experience the whole human evolution.

If you want to control your time, deattach from it.

I LOVE THIS BOOK SO MUCH. I really like the part when the author mentioned how habits build up to be an uncounciouss action which really kills off any progress in the future.

وجدت نفسي بالتدريج أذهب إلي الله مليئا بالطعنات والكدمات لا لم أكن منكسرا كلمة الانكسار مخادعة .. كنت محطما كنت مجرد بقايا ذهبت إليه زحفا ، كان يمكن أن أذهب في اتجاه معاكس تكون فيه نهايتي لكني زحفت إليه أملا في أن ينقذني .. أن يجعلني أواصل الحياة .. أن يجعلني أملك ما أحيا من أجله ❤

This guy is a beast, goddamn it

WHAT A FUCKING AMAZING BOOK. I finished it in one day only !! The book was full of sad emotions, just suffer,pain and pitty. I'm still trying to grasp the main point of this book, which mentions how a human can still be optmistic and have a meaning for his life even at the most suffering a man can endure. I felt bad and quiet emotional for what the prisoners went through at the Nazi concentration camps.

This book has some pretty useful essential tricks to be the big social cat, although the tricks are so much that it's overwhelming, but it has some potential. I will definitely go over this book again. The ebook version of this book is a nightmare it's redeclous, I couldn't read it properly.
