4.75 stars. This is the rom-com I needed in my life. It's like a big hug. That being said... It gets a bit old when one of the main characters (Aiden in this book) clearly needs therapy making him kind of a dick to everyone around him. I loved that Lucie the FMC is in a male dominated field (as I am as well) and her chilf wasn't a sniveling shit head.

Over 40 main characters?!? YES PLEASE!
Apparently, this book is only 300 pages long but it felt a lot longer and not necessarily in a bad way. I found it hard to pick up and keep reading and I think it was because I didn't really like the FMC (Leelo) until the endish of the book. I wish she would have stopped babying her daughter and stand up for herself. Riodan was decent... I think. There were a lot of side characters.

I so.... Disappointed. This book was anticlimactic and I struggled to feel the chemistry between Fionn and Rose. Also, Rose seemed to be the weak link in this book constantly messing up. Serial killer is not her Forte. I HATE that in the end Fionn starts working for Leander. It was completely unnecessary.

This was my first Catherine Cowles book and I am so delighted! I did find it a bit hard to get into but the second half of the book was excellent. Things that pissed me off... Rho (FMC) (and I find this happening in many books) refuses or fights against security measures even tho her life is in danger. Like Why? Anson (MMC) I thought was decent. Was a dick at the beginning but I felt like he became better towards the end. Side characters were great.
Spoilers ahead********
<spoiler>I found it a little bit hard to believe that the serial killer Anson was tracking for years was also the kid that killed Rho's family. Anson just happened to pick THAT town to live to after leaving the FBI and it JUST happened to be where the guy not only lives but grew up!?!? </spoiler>

I didn't love it but I also didn't hate it. I found the beginning hard to get into. Took me way too long to read this. The 3rd act break-up was ridiculous... Like.. Seriously!?! I'm also not sure how I feel about the age gap.
