Informative and well laid out. I was actually quite surprised about the ample coverage of other monetary forms as well as showing the difference between Keynesian and Monetarist economics. The start of the book is setting up for the reasons why a future in decentralized finance is a possibility but he also covers some of the pitfalls and negatives. This made me interested to read his sequel book ‘The Fiat Standard'.
Not bad for someone wanting a fun light read into St Patrick although I was hoping for something that would go more in depth.
How Not to Die: Discover the Foods Scientifically Proven to Prevent and Reverse Disease
Lots of good points and infomation although did feel like it dragged on just pummelled with scientific data. All good data though.
I read this after listening to “Can't Hurt Me”. This was just an easy enjoyable book to work through, nothing special or profound but great stories and anecdotes throughout.
I really wanted to take my time with this book knowing that Jordan Peterson is quite controversial and outspoken online currently.
I believe it is very easy to caricature people and therefore wanted to avoid this with JP. I found this book to remind me of some solid truths around many of the rules. Precision in language, listening far more than we speak, asking questions of all that is around us.
I am happy I read this and would like others to especially if they have only seen short YouTube clips of Jordan Peterson up to this point. This gives another perspective that may be helpful.
Insightful and thoughtful throughout. A great synopsis of different groups throughout history and an alternative way to look at their progression through the years that is based in facts and logic.
I enjoyed this book because as Lewis seems to always be able to do. He interacts with a question we all have in such a unique way through creativity in fiction. I appreciated the characters you are interacting with in each chapter and connecting with almost all of them in an odd way.
A good approach to a form of masculinity that is biblical and not aligning entirely with either side of the cultural stereotype that current exists in the west
Astoundingly interested around a topic I never thought I would find so much interest in.
Short, Concise, A lot is communicated and as C S Lewis mentioned about this book, “There is not a sentence that does not contribute to the whole”.
Didn't enjoy this too much as I felt it dragged on a bit when going through workouts.
Well written and a fun way to tell the story of financial principles learnt throughout life.
This book connected with me on a few levels. I got a glimpse into the background that forms a great mind like C.S.Lewis. I am reminded the impact parents have, especially fathers in forming the minds of teenagers. C.S.Lewis also impeccably describes Northern Ireland's landscape and the juxtaposition of the city in the country. He gives great hope and encouragement to what is possible when he mentions his steps into the world of literature and his voracious consumption of it.
