Zeryth is everything from power-hungry to selfish and everything in between. Max is downright amazing. This book was something!
This was so adorably wholesome and more enjoyable than Annabelle and Montgomery's story. I just loved Lucie and Tristan a bit too much
This book was a joy to read after dealing with the gruelling part/side of Escaping From Houdini. Having Thomas' pov is a good way of learning more about him, especially with having Audrey Rose's pov for the first 3 books. This book was refreshing and preferable as a secondary joint of the series. I definitely recommend reading this alongside the main series.
When I say I'm confused and pretty angry about this book, I'm not lying. I've just about had enough with characters who are handed powers that they do not deserve. But let's leave that for the next book
It's unfair knowing how much this book affected me, especially the end. I had this need to read it but also felt horribly incapable yet, I managed to complete it with little disruption.
Roma and Juliette are willing to let their love burn the world down, not just for each other but their city as well. It was so beautiful to know that about them.
Also, I wanna pretend I'm Juliette so I can have Roma. He reminds me of Elias and where they lie on the scale is where my standards are
I don't know what I think about this book, it took 6 days to finish partially because I didn't have time and some parts dragged a bit.
I liked it towards the end but all in all, I think it was 3.5 stars.
While this book was really enjoyable I did find it to have fizzled out towards the end so I would say it deserves 3.5 stars.
Other than that I will probably take a small break and come back to the following books.
Until next time!
I give up on the book series for now, even though I know what happens. I have to say I'm disappointed with Brigid after knowing that she can make beautiful contemporary fiction books. But maybe that is her forte and not sci-fi/fantasy.
3 stars.
THAT ENDING! I NEED TO KNOW WHAT'S HAPPENING RIGHT NOW. ALSO SILAS CARRIED THIS WHOLE BOOK.
Silas was adorable, such a cute demon, I swear. And their inability to love and care, pleaseeee that is absolute rubbish. The guy LOVED Nathanial to pieces and saved the world. So demonic of him.
This is just gonna end up being a Silas appreciation review. What would be so cool is that Silas ruled over the demons if he survived or he was remade into Silas, the one who loves the unworthy humans.
Pleaseeeee, someone just give me a Silas asap
I feel heavily destroyed rn, the ending has killed me.
4.5 stars! .5 for the ending I didn't expect, it brought me a lot of joy as it did pain.
It was a nice, easy read but Cardan is heavily right about Taryn being wicked. Holly Black could never make me like her and I'm pretty glad for it
I hate how good this got. This book is so unlike others I've read so, as soon as it got somewhat faster paced, I found myself reading more and more of it. I was practically eating the words as a Sunai does a criminals soul.
I liked the ending to the book, it was short and sweet. Yet, this book has taught me, no ending is the real ending until all is finished.
This journey through Caraval and OUABH has been enjoyable so far and I cannot wait for A Curse for True Love
I love how it ended with holier than thou, Reid, swearing. It's very symbolic, especially with his discovery
4 stars!
Maybe I'm not like some people because I loved this book. My sister only got to page 153 and here I am rating this at 4.5 stars.
This book was enticing, for who knows what reason. I put it off for a while but I'm now happy to know I've read the first book in the series.
I will not deny it, when I first started reading this I was about to stop reading. The first many pages bored me a lot, precisely until it got to a more action filled part at the beginning. Aside from the first part, this book was amazing and I recommend to anyone who will be willing to spare themselves 40 pages, give or take, of intense boredom. I'm telling you, it's truly worth every minute.
This book... It made me laugh, cry, and everything in between. I'm so glad I read it when I did, it had everything I needed in the moment and for once the fmc didn't irritate me.
Re-read: I don't regret my re-read at all. Kallias is amazing and that is all I have to say
I can safely say that this book was good but Rin went from antihero to a whole villain less than half a book. She took up Altan's plans and made them worse. She claims to have given herself to the Phoenix freely but I feel as though the Phoenix has more planned now that he has a puppet of his own choosing.
4.5 stars.
I hate how this book brought me to tears with no real cause other than the fact that I knew Kate would die and I desperately needed every August and Kate moment possible.
I think a part of me severely wanted them together while another part was warring and wanted them to just have a connection without romance. With that, once Kate died at the end, I held onto hope she'd be back as a Sunai. Too bad August just has her as a memory, it's for sure enough to bring me to tears all over again.
I still can't believe I cried when they kissed though.
4 stars!
This book, as hard as it was to read, was cute in a corny sort of way and I was completely here for all of it.
I'm still reeling from Elias letting go of his humanity. The book wasn't bad but I almost always have issues with the third books in series and this one seemed like a filler up until the last 100 pages.
But 3.5 stars
Ah, this book, it warmed my stone heart I think. My way of rating is far too harsh so I can give it no more than a 4, maybe a 4.5. Reading this book hasn't been fantastical in any way and I appreciate that because after The Night Circus I kind of lost hope in other books.
No offense to Scarlett but she was a bit too uptight, I wish there were other words to give her other than that. Her redeeming quality was most definitely her love for her sister, she loves her so much it brings her back to life. Her own sort of magic.
Julian stole the show, I knew there was something off about him and instantly guessed he was a performer in caraval. He seemed to have been a better mc than Scarlett.
Donatella, she was the mastermind behind the scenes. It's crazy to think she did all of this just to escape her father. I genuinely love her character for it. My only thing is that I worry for what she has to do in return. I don't want to think about what Legend will make her do.
To the next book!
