The amount I can read sometimes truly startles me. When there are no distractions, I can get through books quite quickly and it's truly a blessing in disguise
Rating has gone from 4 stars to 4.5 stars!!
Success!!! I finished my second read over 9 months faster than I did my first. The book is 4 stars just because I understand my past self and my mood reader tendencies. They are what made me read consistently starting from last year
I'm no longer the child I was when I first read this a while ago so the rating will go down to 4.5 stars, that doesn't mean it was worse this time but just means I was a little more critical of my own tastes. I hope I enjoy the wicked king a bit more than I did last year
Ahhhh, I've finished the Lunar Chronicles. I feel like this series has become a huge part of my life and I wish it didn't. Very stupid to get attached to a book series.
Although I loved the series, some stories in this book were subpar and I wish they weren't. But the ending was beautiful, downright amazing!
3.5 stars!
3.5 stars. I guess I've grown out of these books, I'm glad I have because although they were a good pastime when I was 11 I think my taste is more refined. Onto a new book!
While I really enjoyed reading this, I realised that the writing went all over the place in the middle section. I understand it's a debut and did enjoy the storyline (and not so much the slightly messy romance). But overall, it's 3.5 stars
This book was worth my time after the first, usually the 2nd book in any series/duology is nothing compared to the first but this one was amazing. It lacked nothing, it was nothing short of amazing. It wasn't intensely one of my favourites or else I would have given it a rare 5 stars but it was definitely one of the best I've read in the last few months
Kaz went from feral to outright insane, and I'm here for it.
Not sure what to rate it though
This is one of those books, those that will teach you that you are seen in the world. Even if you are only seen by 1, 10 or hundreds of people.
It's not exactly the best book but it's one that falls deep into you, seeps into your brain and burrows there because you relate to it all so much. It reminds me of The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue in that regard. Both were entirely remarkable, they were so creative and both Addie and Effy are so similar although one made a bargain and the other was a child desperate to escape death after being left.
This book is imprinted in my brain, possibly even my heart and that's enough for me to rate it 5 stars

All I have to say is damn. I remembered this book being good but the last 70 pages probably tore something in me. I don't remembering shedding tears at any point previously, but I did this time.
It always brings me back to one thought though, how do people love Maven? He is a red flag, the biggest red flag to exist. Normal people like Cal aren't even given a second look and it surprises me so much. People hold completely different expectations in book characters.
My original rating was 5 stars but I'm now shoving it down to 4 because the book is no equal of ouabh and tbona, unfortunately
I really liked this but my reading was so broken up so I couldn't enjoy it in its entirety.
I agree with all the people who said Throne of Glass should have been like this though. I made so many parallels between Celaena and Yelena and it was insane
3.5 stars!
Definitely a good read. Straight romance isn't usually my thing but I do occasionally read it for something quick to pass my time.
3.5 stars!
And let me just say that Liam, for a rich guy, is very cool for not being a total money grabber. Respect to the one born rich
Another book that was better than I expected. When it comes to The Ever Seas books, I hold no high expectations due to their unpredictability and my own feelings while going into books.
While reading this, I realised there was no plot but that didn't mean I was anywhere close to hating it. This book has served as a pallet cleanser for the Throne of Glass series and has served its purpose amazingly. Now I can move on saying I've read another book by L.J. Andrews
3 stars
I had to give myself time before reviewing this. Purely because I had tears running down my face last night when it got hard. I ran to my room just because I didn't want my dad to see me cry over a book.
This book was so good, aside from my little (big) issue with a fairyloot reseller that made me want to stop reading, I loved it. I love Seokga and his coffee drinking tendencies, I love when characters are relatable and Seokga happened to be with his love for coffee. I loved Hani, she was an amazing fmc. She was not annoying and her story pre-Seokga was very interesting.
Their love story was sweet, I love how the cold Seokga could fall in love with her, and I love how Hani “I don't let anyone in my life because I am selfish and I have a secret” fell for the one who was tasked to kill her.
You cannot tell me that Hani didn't have a soft spot for Somi, she loved the baby gumiho so much. So much so that she told Seokga to let Somi go even though she was dying. She took all the blame for it and I hope Somi will appreciate what Hani has never been capable of doing for another.
Hani loved Seokga so much that she prayed to his brother and got him to change his bargain enough to give Seokga a fighting chance against the Eoduksini. Seokga loved Hani so much that he didn't want to kill her even though she turned out to be the Scarlet Fox, loved her so much that he cried and felt guilt for his hand being guided to kill her with her own scarlet blade, and loved her enough to beg his own brother to get her a chance to reincarnate so he could find her again. So their story wouldn't end in pain and guilt.
Give me a Seokga, I need a guy like him so much!
I've spent the day reading, with a whole load of breaks inbetween and I realise how much I hate books like this and The God and the Gumiho because the endings are beautiful enough to make me sob.
I don't even know what to rate this book, I will eventually but for now I'm not sure

I need serious help, rereading this again has left me with a lot of sadness.
The epilogue is always so sad, so painful for me. It leaves one with heart-wrenching pain, I'd never wish it upon anyone because the pain is too great and leaves you in tears. Especially Will's death, that was unbearable.
This was beautiful. This story was everything and had all the positivity needed. It shows Celaena, yet again, in a brilliant light. No matter her profession, she continues to have humanity.
—”For wherever you need to go – and then some. The world needs more healers.”
I genuinely love how Celaena gave Yrene her ruby necklace as well as a full pouch of gold. She taught her self-defense and saved her life. Now, it comes to a point where you wonder, Celaena gave her so much and will that lead them into crossing paths again.
The more I think, the more I realise I hated how this book had no plot whatsoever.
Edit: Tell me the purpose of making the 2nd book a filler. I love so many 2nd books, namely The Ballad of Never After by Stephanie Garber, but why is this one so basic
2.5 stars
I have been ignoring this book for at least 5 years after finishing the trilogy, I decided that the book didn't deserve to have my eyes grace the words because of everything that happened in Allegiant. I'm glad I did, because I mourned the ending, mourned a good ship. Got over the fact that Four ended up with Christina 5 years later, I HATE HER SO MUCH... I haven't really gotten over it. But I will, someday.
3.5 stars!
3.5 stars, it was a quite predictable read. I liked the historical throwback and find the uses of the past as warranted although other people find them to be harsh and uncalled for. It is brash but it does highlight the past for women well.
