All of the characters were lovable. It was very fast paced. The book was kind of predictable. But I guess this is what it would be like in real life. I was rotting for the characters and it was well written.

Jenny mendedikasikan hidupnya bermain dan berlatih selo agar diterima di sekolah musik impiannya. Hingga dia bertemu cowok tampan dan misterius. Dalam momen spontan itu, Jenny membiarkan dirinya bebas dan menikmati petualangan semalam yang tak terlupakan, sebelum cowok itu menghilang tanpa kabar.
Tiga bulan kemudian, Jenny kembali bertemu cowok itu. Bukan cuma bersekolah di tempat yang sama, Jaewoo ternyata juga anggota salah satu grup K-pop terbesar di dunia saat itu, XOXO.
Menurutku chemistry antara Jenny dan Jaewoo agak dipaksakan, aku merasa tidak terhubung dengan kedua tokoh utamanya ini. Atau bisa juga karena aku yang bukan penggemar kpop maupun kdrama?

A cute little YA book about forbidden love set mostly in South Korea. I've absolutely no interest in K-pop, I'm definitely not a YA and I know next to nothing about Korean culture but I really enjoyed this. It was sweet and I totally believed in Jenny and Jaewoo, plus I really enjoyed Googling all the food - this book made me so hungry!

Simple and sweet, a lovely light read :)

just wanna add it's been more than a month later and i am still thinking about this book.
like, come on there are:
- k-pop idols!!!
- a forbidden romance!
- lots of references to korean food, culture, customs, and idol life
- a really sweet wholesome romance (with NO spice so it is very PG for u younger readers)
- the hardcover is TO DIE FOR

if you're looking for a nice, quick, wholesome read PLZ pick this up <3

I'm usually not a fan of contemporary romances (especially YA), but this one was absolutely adorable. Loved it from beginning to end. Very heartwarming.

Fluffy and cute, made me want to take a trip to Seoul and try every Korean restaurant near me!

Devoured this in a day! Loved it, though I'm sure readers will complain about it being unrealistic. Who cares? Very immersive and felt like I was visiting Seoul again.

I didn't hate this book. It was actually kinda cute. It just doesn't deserve 3 stars.

I didn't realize I needed a cute YA to brighten up my reading slump. This was a cute and refreshing read. Sometimes when you are too far ahead from the age group, I forget how teenagers can act and just be in love for the first time.
