An amazing book about body language. would highly recommend it! it was interesting to read, it was slow-paced but i enjoyed it. i took notes. many people say that they already knew everything from the book already but i don't really think that's true. i would be lying if i said i already knew everything that was in this book before reading it. unlike other body language teachers on the internet, saying nose touching or neck rubbing means lying, joe Navarro says otherwise. its a stress signal and a pacifying behavior, detecting deception is hard only based on body language, and everyone please take a note about that! seeing someone is nervous doesn't mean they are lying. anyway, i really enjoyed reading the book, i would gladly reread it.
Started this book after seeing Joe Navarro's WIRED video. Most memorable tidbit is that women oftentimes put their hand over their throat or décolletage when they feel nervous or threatened.
Although slow-going and sometimes dry, this was shockingly informative. I've already learned a lot and started applying the knowledge - to my benefit!
