I gave it a shot because I'd heard so much praise for it, but it felt like a poorly done early 2000s rom com

Okay. Caroline and her inner monologue with her body is cringey af. I've never disliked a cat character before, but Clive was also annoying. lol. I loved Simon and the 75% mark of this book. The rest was whatever. Probably will not be continuing the series.

3 stars because of the humor. The author had great sense of humor and knows how to make the readers laugh.

05/02/2022: picked this one on a whim and it surprised me.

THE TITLE IS INCRIMINATING but the story was amusing enough; the f.m.c. stood out to me in that - she was completely normal. in most books the m.c. has some sort of insecurity, etc. but the f.m.c. was aware of herself, her boundaries, and pretty confident.

it's been a while - she might've had some insecurity that was part of the plot, but... idk, the vibe was different

Cute fluff, but the pacing was kind of off, so by the time anyone got together I'd lost interest a bit.

FYI: It's a lot less sexy/steamy than the cover and synopsis would lead you to believe. Much more straight chicklit with a bit of sex.

Buku ini sangat menghibur. Karena pengalaman membaca contemporary romance dari seri Crossfire jadi agak memandang pesimis genre contemporary romance. Setelah Tnagled kemudian Wallbanger ini tentunya ak akan mencoba lagi genre ini, asal gk dangkal spt Crossfire ataupun Beutiful Bastars ya. Beautiful Bastard blm baca sih tp kok reviewnya dangkal.
Caroline yg baru pindah apartemen merasa terganggu dgn tetangganya krn hampir tiap malam terganggu dgn aktivitas tetangganya yg gemar menggedor dinding kamar. Sampai suatu saat gk tahan lagi krn membuat dia gk tidur nyenyak, Caroline mengkonfrontasi si tetangga. Dan cerita bergulir sampai Caroline & si tetangga Simon gk sengaja ketemu di pesta, kemuadian lama2 saling suka...
Yang membuat menarik adalah proses terjalinnya hubungan antara mereka berdua, terasa natural, bkn insta-love.

Soy demasiado amargada para este tipo de libros, no hubo personaje que no quisiera estrellar contra la pared... Get it? :v

What a fun read!

I really enjoyed how Caroline and Simon's relationship developed. The blend of animosity and attraction in the beginning were brilliant and Caroline's quips kept me laughing. The story meandered a bit but it was an enjoyable reading experience nonetheless. 4 stars!

HA omg i don't think this could've been funnier. it wasn't just a whole bunch of sex scenes like i expected. there was actually some cool chill time between friends. comfortable with a little (or a lot i guess u could say) spice to jazz things up a little (yes i just used that phase-that's wat this book has done to me; it has broken my syntax. but that's okay cuz it was a wonderful and hilarious book!)

Wallbanger is the story of Caroline, professional designer who just moved in to a new apartment, and has just declared herself in a dating-hiatus. She finds that the guy behind her bedroom walls might be getting some more than unusual sex, and then starts and unusual relationship with what she calls her “Wallbanger”.

OK, I admit it, this was thoroughly and completely a guilty pleasure. I admit it, no shame in it.

This is a contemporary, romance, maybe New-Adult novel. This is exactly the type of books that I try to avoid reading, because it normally leads to disappointment and reading slumps, for me. But this novel in particular was filled with humor, which is something I highly appreciate. And this was definitely not a bad one.

It was cheesy, and really predictable, but I didn't care. It was obvious and we all knew it and the author didn't try to hide it, she just worked with it. That's something I'm impressed about and very happy to read.

The characters weren't the best ones or the most deep and full of layers type. I did find myself loving the main characters, Caroline and Simon. I thought they were very real and funny, and I was rooting for them. The other characters gave me mixed feelings. Some were annoying to me, some were really great, some I had to think twice until I remembered who they were. But they weren't stupid or unrealistic and I'm very grateful for that.

The story is cheesy and predictable, but original in it's own way. I think that she added some elements to it that made it not so one-sided. I laughed out loud in several scenes and gripped my hands in anticipation of what was coming. It made me feel, which is always good.

The style of writing was very particular. It wasn't poetic or memorable or majestic. She chose ways to phrase things so that it was 21st century-ish but not overly spoiled-OMG-girl that we all hate. And she added things like phone conversations, that at first I found confusing but then I found myself loving.

Lastly, the romance in the novel wasn't all over the place or overly dramatic. This is very typical of romance, chick-lit novels and it's the main reason of why I run away of them. But I didn't feel that in this novel. Maybe I'm growing into it or this was really a good novel or I just really wasn't paying attention.

I read this because a friend lent it to me and I just said, whatever, why the fuck not? And I went with very low expectations and I ignored a lot of mistakes and pet-peeves of mine. But I really think this novel was a good one. Not just me.

I definitely recommend this to most readers. Maybe if you read more adult, drama books this won't be for you, but I think it appeals to anyone. I gave it 3.5 for the small mistakes (really, I can't never really ignore them) like the cliches in the speeches of the characters, etc and because it was just a passing novel. But a really good one.

I went into this with fairly low expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised! The bedroom scenes were done well and didn't make me cringe. The witty banter between Caroline and Simon was fun and had me laughing at times, but I could have done with a few less ‘pussy' jokes. Clive was absolutely adorable though and I loved his little bit at the end!
Overall, I quite enjoyed the story and I'll probably be picking up the sequel because who doesn't need more Simon in their lives?

Hilarious and fun read! So many one liners that had me laughing out loud. Caroline and Simon were written perfectly!
