I was hoping for a more epic ending. But this had signalled a crash since The Fate of Ten. That means two years worth of waiting wasn't worth it. Am I bad mouthing this book? No. I am giving an honest review. As sad as it is. It didn't live up for the first few books. I mean, come on, nevermind all the cliffhangers on the other books, at least they were page turners.

At 53 % I was saying that I wouldn't be surprised if Four gets killed before the book ends but then I realized a good story needs stupid characters to go on. Not that John had been the entire series but he had been drifting off and getting into my nerves! He needed to snap out of it! But I guess it was of good use.

Real action only started happening at 75% which I think had been delayed... for what?– The anticipation was there; but I feel deprived of the greatness this should have been. Six said “All my anger, years and years of suffering and fear, I pour it into this storm.”, but all the years of waiting for what, 60? 80 pages of action combined? I needed 350 of it. And I'm disappointed not to have got that.

It ended like how I guess everybody wanted it to. Spoiler alert: It had a happy ending. But then a happy ending for me would have been more deaths. I wanted to like what happened but I didn't and I'm glad this is all over.

PS. I can't get over with the fact that legacies were given AT RAMDOM. Fuck that shit. Would have been cool to know how the new gardes were chosen.

I (might not) am not picking another book series again until it's all released and finished and shit. The waiting game is exhausting.
