The Takeover

Ahhh I love Tristan. Ever since hearing about him I'm the stop over I was exited for his story.

He is so funny and sweet, while also commanding and sexy.

Totally surprised he was a motivational speaker on top of his position at Miles Media.

He loves Claire and her boys so much, and finds ways to connect with them without being pushy. He's also there for them and just shows up. Is someone to rely on, and Claire needs that.
Their connection is amazing and their chemistry is off the hook!!! Loved this book more than the first one.

This one hit me right in the heartstrings. I love that this book felt more “real.” I just can't get over it and it's making me swoon. I love Tristan

Easily the best “sexy book” I have read. I laughed so hard, I cried. I was in love with both characters. Each having their own reasons behind the way they are and they way they love. A really good book. My favorite so far in the series.

Not as good as the first one, mostly because the main character has children and they ran most of the storyline, and I am child-free by choice, so I didn't like it. Other than that, they story line was OK, not as good as the first, but I like how it was longer and more developed than most of the other books I read. The ending was cute and had the prefect happily ever after that I love.

All of the stars for Tristan Fucking Miles and those boys! I absolutely loved them - I laughed, I cried and I didn't want it to end.

This was so much more fun than I expected it to be, the pranks with the boys, the banter with them and other characters, but also had some really heart wrenching moments, with Claire's grief and worries as well as the boys missing their dad.

I read this out of order as its the second book but I don't think the stories are connected, even though they relate to brothers, so seems okay to read them in any order.

This book made laugh so damn hard... Cry so many times!!! Fletcher and Harry OMG HILARIOUS!!! The way Fletcher attacm Tristan with his underpamts and try to put it in his mouth!!! AND THE WAY HARRY GRABBED THE DOLL OR SOMETHING AND PUT THE CORD AROUND ITS NECK AND LOOK AT TRISTAN WHILE DOING IT LMAOOO FUNNIEST THING EVER!!! This author is so amazing with their work... that I have fallen in love with them... I love the writing its just hdjnsjsjsjs sooo good!!!

This was Augusts pick for The Swoon Sisters Book Club. This is the second book in a series but it can be read as a standalone. I read this at the beginning of the month and in true Misty fashion I put off writing my review for so long that I can't remember everything I wanted to say about this book. I did really enjoy it. It was funny at times and it was pretty steamy. The only complaint I had about it really was that I wished Claire would have saved herself. Tristan literally swooped in and saved the day in every aspect of her life which is fine I just really wanted to see her take control over something. That's not to say she was a weak character because she wasn't She was a strong character and I loves how she stood up to Tristan. I definitely want to go back and read the first book and continue on with this series.

Swoon Sister Book Club August Pick: Single Parent Trope

I literally adored every page of this book. It was absolutely hilarious but also touched on really hard topics. I always need something extra in my contemporary romances to push them up to a 5 star and for me, that was the exploration of grief and moving on after loss. The two main characters were both absolutely amazing and I loved the kids. This gives me really similar vibes to Hero by Lauren Rowe which was on my favorites list of 2020 and this one has a chance to be on it too. If you really liked this I recommend Hero and vice versa.
