In Singapore, three very different women--Dara, a workaholic lawyer from the UK; Amaka, a sharp-tongued banker from Nigeria; and Lillian, a pianist turned "trailing spouse" from the United States--find their lives inexplicably intertwined upon the arrival of a handsome and mysterious man from Geneva who brings their worlds crashing down.

The main characters were flawed and believable, it was really interesting to get expat/visitor glimpses of Singapore. I liked this, I'd read more from this author.
Good story about a woman in a man's world. Singapore is a beautiful place, and yet along with the beauty and sunshine are the same woman versus man issues of the world. In order to compete, women often have to give up a lot more than men for the same rewards. But this story is more than that. Dara is the lawyer with no social life, but Amaka is the one who pretends to be living a life of luxury when her salary does not afford her that luxury. This story is also about the people we call family, whether by blood or not. And it is also about learning from our mistakes. I might recommend.
