I found it hard to read and to sympathise with young Werther about his romantic love. The book is written as letters from younr artist Werther to his friend. All these letters are full of suffering because of his impossible love for a married woman. Geothe wrote this novel 240 years ago and portrays a love story like other hundreds, so nothing new. The author does not go deeper to explore his feelings, it's a whole sphere full only of sufference.

Schönheit der Natur, irrationale Hineinsteigerung in die Liebe. Inbegriff des Tragischen. Der an der Entfremdung gegenüber der Gesellschaft zerbrechende Genius. Unglaubliche Schlussszene. Man spürt das Leiden des Autoren, dass sich hier in artistischer Einzigartigkeit entlädt.
