The flowery letters were unlike what I usually seek out, but who can resist a sexy college professor? Stein's work, when it's good, really taps into human vulnerability. When it falls short, it's maudlin without good reason. This work toes that line for me, a bit. 2 3/4 stars, bumped to 3. 🌟
