The One Hundred Years of Lenni and Margot

Oh, this is beautiful. Look at that cover! Read that title! Experience the emotion of the story! This book was really touching, exploring a friendship that generally would not have spurred, but because of unusual (and quite sad) circumstances has. I don't want to give anything away, but I will say this is an emotional yet inspiring read about sickness and life and friendship. It's beautiful. What more could I add?

Listen, this isn't a bad read but ultimately seems like the point is “spare everyone from your suffering” which... especially from the perspective of a dying child seems hard to understand the motivation behind? The entire book it just feels like you wonder where everyone's families are. But I do think a fair amount of that may be a cultural differences? I'm not sure. There's a few parts here and there that have some wisdom, though.

Excellent! Intriguing characters and on point writing. Highly enjoyable and thought-provoking.

I thought the story was interesting and I liked all the characters, but considering the subject matter it didn't make me think deeply or feel anything in the end. I can't say what is missing for me here.

Poignant, beautiful, sad and tinged with a bit of humor. Heartachingly nostalgic. Loved the main characters
