Can't say I thought it was good as some of Christie's other books (Death on the Nile, And Then There Were None) but the reveal of the murderer at the end was unexpected (as it always is!)
This is my favorite Agatha Christie book so far! The first-person POV took a couple of chapters to get used to, but it's like swimming in ocean water – you forget that it's cold after a while. This will be my go-to recommendation for Agatha Christie.

I never realized what made this Agatha Christie novel more special than all her others. I was told I HAD to read this one and I never realized just how amazing it could actually be. Agatha Christie is truly the greatest mystery writer and the writing in this story in particular proved that. My mind is still blown from the ending and I may need to go back and reread it to appreciate Christie's genius all over again.
Dialogue in my head whilst reading this book...
“I'm not sure why this is considered one of the greatest detective novels of all time”
reads last two chapters
“Wow...”
This is the first Agatha Christie novel I've read. I loved her stories in Masterpiece Mystery, but reading this book, I understand why she is the all-time-top-selling author! There is an equal balance of humor and intrigue, and her characters are all colorful both in personality and in their personal histories.
I've always liked [a:Agatha Christie 123715 Agatha Christie http://photo.goodreads.com/authors/1321738793p2/123715.jpg]but this was amazing.
I just can't say much more without spoiling it that this is a fantastic, fast-paced mystery! Recommended for any mystery fan.
Another good one, ground breaking telling of the mystery. Being familiar with this let me see if I could notice things throughout.
