Gosh. The nostalgia. This is just SO GOOD. Such an amazing mixture of teen novels back in the day + ghost whisperer + Buffy. Amazing combo.
2022 review: I can't believe the last time I reread this was 2017! I remember so much of it. I love love love this series. I just want to add that reading it in 2022 it is indeed VERY dated. So please keep that in mind. I really really hope it can get a nice update in the netflix movies that will hopefully happen one day and be an amazing success.
Also, the book is SO short! I think that's part of the reason its so fun. It's definitely kinda bite-sized. I'm definitely doing a binge of the series.
After reading “Princess diaries” series and and that story from “Prom nights from hell”, I was hesitant to try another book by Meg Cabot. But I decided to give this one a try because of paranormal aspect of it. And I was surprised that I actually liked it. Compared to Mia Thermopolis from Princess diaries, who starts out as OK but the more you read the more annoying she gets, Suze starts as OK and gets more interesting. I still haven't read rest of the books in this series, but I'm going to. Just hope, that they are just as interesting as this one (or even better).
I really liked this one. It had a fun yet ridiculous story line. The characters have depth and they actually have morals (which I have found lacking in a lot of cabot books)
I do wish the ending has more substance... and I'll have to read more of the series to pass good judgment
