3 hours of Connor Franta videos. At least that is how I felt listening to this audiobook. Especially because it was also read by Connor. I actually don't like memoirs. Maybe that's why I don't give this book a higher rating. I only tried this one because of the author. And I don't regret that I did.
A little bit too much like school text-book or encyclopedia for my taste, although that's the point of this book. Even if my usual rating for this kind of book (when I don't know what to think of it) is 3 stars, I think that translation of 2 stars (it was ok) is appropriate.
Overall it was nice to find out a little bit more about magical creatures. Also that some creatures, which are still mystery for Muggles, actually are common knowledge to wizards.
So... What's the difference between this one and Sea Breaze #8 Hold on Tight? Reading this book I had a feeling that Abbi Glines has run out of ideas. Nevertheless, this could be the best book of Rosemary Beach series.
The synopsis of this book is more interesting than the book itself. Short chapters of five paragraphs with no transition between them are very annoying and seem unfinished. Although book gets kinda interesting in the final chapters, it doesn't compensate for the rest of it.
After reading “Princess diaries” series and and that story from “Prom nights from hell”, I was hesitant to try another book by Meg Cabot. But I decided to give this one a try because of paranormal aspect of it. And I was surprised that I actually liked it. Compared to Mia Thermopolis from Princess diaries, who starts out as OK but the more you read the more annoying she gets, Suze starts as OK and gets more interesting. I still haven't read rest of the books in this series, but I'm going to. Just hope, that they are just as interesting as this one (or even better).
