The Liturgical Year

This book was bought more because of the cover, I admit it, with a good author attached to it. I love covers artwork!

At times, eye opening and absolutely what I needed. And at times, tedious and the language even above my MDiv head, not connecting with me. But, it averages out to be a book I am glad I got and I have at least one chapter I want to share with people. If I get even one quote from a book, I am happy, but I have a whole chapter from this book (chapter 26).

I hope to check the rest of the series out someday.

Overall I would recommend the book. It is part of a series of books trying to rediscover some of the Ancient Practices of the Church. But if you have some familiarity with the liturgical year, then it will probably be mostly review.
