I selected this audiobook to listen with my grandson while he visited during the summer. Unfortunately, he left before the book was available. I was able to listen, and am going to recommend he get it on his own audio device. This was an amazing magical tale. It was so heartwarming. I enjoyed every minute.
Liked this fairly formulaic middle grades book that touches on themes of immigration, neurodivergence, and animal rights.
The middle gets bogged down with a lot of discussion about animal poop and I kept wondering if it was going to go somewhere. Alas no, just poop talk.
